Job Purpose

We are seeking a Credit Risk Analyst to join the credit team in its Credit & Market Analysis Division which is part of the Treasury organization. The main role of the division is to manage credit and market risks.

Your main responsibility will be to safeguard the company’s assets by performing quantitative and qualitative credit assessments of counterparties, propose appropriate credit risk mitigation strategies and provide recommendations to management. This position requires strict adherence to the company’s credit risk policy and operating procedures.

You will be also required to collaborate with other areas such as Operations, Sales, LAW, Contracting, among others. Therefore, it is essential to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities

As a successful candidate, you will perform the following:

  • Conduct credit evaluations of counterparties (financial and non-financial institutions).
  • Carry out financial qualification of service providers for new projects.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of financial statements and employ the company’s internal credit model to derive credit ratings.
  • Ensure new business transactions and related risks are appropriately defined, captured, and managed, by the Company’s risk methodologies and systems.
  • Maintain approved credit limits and ratings in credit database.
  • Actively monitor counterparty credit ratings and latest market developments to keep management informed on potential risks.
  • Perform stress testing on various portfolios in order to identify and mitigate unwanted exposure.
  • Review policies, procedures, and align risk policies across the Group.
  • Assist in the consolidation and preparation of reports for management.
  • Complete assigned ad-hoc tasks as directed.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful candidate, you will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or a related field. MBA or other advanced business degree is preferred.
  • Professional certification such as FRM, ERP, CMA or CFA, are highly regarded.
  • At least 10 years of relevant credit experience in energy, banking or financial risk management.
  • Experience with implementation and application of credit risk models
  • In-depth knowledge of qualitative and quantitative credit assessments
  • Extensive experience analyzing financial statements
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines to submit credit recommendations to management
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Excel models

The Risk Management Analyst will support the Risk Manager in developing, implementing, and maintaining effective risk management strategies that protect the organization from potential threats and vulnerabilities. This role requires a detail-oriented and analytical thinker who can conduct risk assessments, assist in compliance monitoring, and support business continuity planning.

The Risk Management Analyst will work closely with various departments to gather risk-related information, provide insights for decision-making, and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have experience in risk management processes, data analysis, and reporting, contributing to the continuous improvement of the organization's risk management practices.

1. Assist in Risk Management Processes

  • Support the Risk Manager in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across the organization.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of risk management strategies and frameworks.


2. Conduct Risk Assessments

  • Perform risk assessments to evaluate potential risks and vulnerabilities.

  • Assist in developing risk mitigation plans and strategies.


3. Compliance Monitoring

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.

  • Assist in preparing compliance reports and maintaining documentation for audits.


4. Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Analyze risk data and generate reports to support decision-making processes.

  • Monitor key risk indicators and prepare regular reports for senior management.


5. Support Business Continuity Planning

  • Assist in the development and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs).

  • Participate in BCP and DRP testing and updates.


6. Collaboration and Communication

  • Collaborate with various departments to gather risk-related information and ensure alignment on risk management objectives.

  • Communicate risk findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders.


7. Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management processes and practices.

  • Stay updated on emerging risks and industry trends to provide timely insights.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • At least 3 years of experience in risk management or a related field.

  • Experience in conducting risk assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies.


Skills and Competencies

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in risk management tools and software.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.


Technical Expertise

  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks such as ISO 31000 or COSO ERM.

  • Understanding of compliance requirements and industry regulations.

The Financial Analyst is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data to facilitate decision-making and provides guidance to business stakeholders within the business.

This role makes financial recommendations based on the data they have gathered and analyzed, which includes information regarding past company performance against set metrics and cost management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extracts data from financial reports to conduct financial and statistical analysis and identifies financial discrepancies and recommends appropriate solutions.

  • Contributes to the monitoring and controlling of expenditure by approving or denying requisitions based on whether the items are within budget.

  • Prepares a variety of financial reports based on the analysis results.

  • Conducts presentations related to findings and provides recommendations to the relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Researches and analyzes costs of projects, departments, and future ventures to provide information and insights about expenses and determine profitability margins.

  • Reconciles and reviews monthly account analysis for balance sheet accounts.

  • Ensures budget and forecast variances are analyzed and recommendations are made to correct or improve company performance.

  • Assists with input into the annual budgeting and forecasting process.

  • Ensures key pieces of analysis are performed on areas of risk or opportunity within the business and that the financial levers are understood and communicated to the business together with clear recommendations.

  • Continuously reviews business initiatives to ensure that they meet the required profitability expectations.

  • Identifies cost management opportunities (processes or expenses) for ensuring improved profitability and sustainable returns for the business.

  • Performs any other relevant task as assigned by the management team.

  • Relevant financial analysis certification(s) preferred.

Required Experience:

  • Seasoned experience in a similar position in a related environment.

  • Seasoned experience with accounting software.

  • Seasoned experience within finance in a company with international operations.

We are seeking an Analyst, Finance, Infrastructure + Energy to join our Finance team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia . The successful candidate will support financial management, governance, and performance reporting across a diverse project portfolio.

This role is pivotal in enabling project success through sound financial oversight, accurate reporting, and proactive stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the effective and timely financial management and reporting of projects.
  • Assist with budgeting, cost allocation, financial performance analysis , and project governance.
  • Contribute to commercial performance through system support, training, and financial audits .
  • Ensure adherence to SJ Group policies, procedures, and compliance requirements .
  • Build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, partners, and joint ventures.

About You

  • A degree or related qualification in Finance / Accounting is highly regarded.
  • 7–10 years of relevant finance experience , with at least 5 years as a Financial Analyst in a corporate/project environment.
  • Experience in infrastructure, energy, or engineering sectors preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work within a multicultural, collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); financial systems experience is an advantage.
