For this team we are looking for several Alliances Engineers to support OEM (hardware manufacturers), GSI (global system integrators), ISV (independent software vendors), Channel partners and Public Cloud alliance partners. You will support various alliances and partners of Canonical to adopt our products and technologies, help business leaders to define joint go-to-market programs with partners from the technical standpoint.

  • Understand Ubuntu, Linux, networking and services in real-world environments
  • Architect cloud infrastructure solutions like Kubernetes, Kubeflow, OpenStack, Ceph, and Spark either On-Premises or in Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
  • Architect and integrate popular open source software such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Kafka, Cassandra and NGINX
  • Help partners to offer and architect joint solutions utilizing Canonical's technologies on top of the public clouds and in the data center
  • Design and publish joint Reference Architectures and perform technical validations with various partners
  • Prepare and run onboarding sessions/workshops with various partners' teams to promote Canonical products and solutions

    • 4+ years of experience in private cloud infrastructure engineering or similar roles
    • Proven track record of managing large-scale private cloud environments
    • Technical Expertise:
    • Proven experience managing OpenShift clusters in a production environment
    • Strong troubleshooting skills for Kubernetes, OpenShift, and containerized workloads
    • Hands-on experience with NTP and LDAP configuration in OpenShift
    • Solid understanding of container networking, storage management, and performance monitoring
    • Experience implementing security best practices for containerized environments
    • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams
    • Familiarity with disaster recovery, backups, and high-availability design

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Cloud Engineer specializing in hyper-scaler cloud platforms, preferably Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) , OCVS , and GCP . The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with exceptional consulting skills to deliver tailored cloud solutions to our clients.

Role And Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, operate, manage and optimize cloud solutions
  • Configure and deploy cloud resources, ensuring high availability, security, and scalability
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and translate them into technical requirements
  • Conduct cloud assessments, identifying opportunities to improve performance and reduce costs
  • Implement best practices for cloud operations, governance, and compliance
  • Deliver technical workshops and training sessions for clients and internal teams
  • Stay updated with the latest features and advancements in OCI, GCP, and other hyper-scaler platforms

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience on one of the hyperscalers (OCI - OCVS - GCP)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and innovative problem-solving abilities, as well as the ability to act quickly
  • Good understanding of Containers, Docker, and Kubernetes
  • Demonstrates the highest level of detail orientation and organizational skills
  • Solid understanding of cloud architecture, networking, security, and best practices
  • ITIL Certified
  • Solid understanding of cloud practice for backup and DR deployments
  • Proven track of successful deployments and managed services
  • This role might require working outside of business hours and during weekends and travel outside of Egypt for a prolonged period of time
