Job Purpose
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

Job Purpose

Reporting to Manager Air Traffic Control Training the Job Holder is to conduct the Air Traffic Control Training within the Technical Studies Squadron of the KFAA for the delivery of Air Traffic Management and Post Graduate Air Traffic Management Training.
Job Accountabilities
- The Job Holder will assume responsibility for one or more of the following Air Traffic Controller Training Phases:
- ICAO 051 Induction – Air Traffic Control
- ICAO 052 Aerodrome Control
- ICAO 053 Non-Radar Approach Control
- ICAO 054 Radar Approach Control
- Ensure that the company not be put at risk legally; its reputation is not damaged, and the Company satisfies the customer’s needs per the LOA3 agreement.
- Apply Company procedures for Systems Approach to Training and Training Governance.
- Apply Company procedures for configuration control of curriculum and courseware, including preparing documentation recommendation and supporting data for curriculum or courseware changes as required.
- Review courseware and proposed development plans.
- Knowledge of the preparation of timetables, scheduling and instructor allocation using the TMIS and FlightPro Systems.
- Raise reports on the performance of individual cadets, classes, and simulations on departmental performance as required.
- Ensure effective use of the TMIS / LMS or Ispring systems to maintain accurate, up to date, comprehensive, orderly and easily accessible training records.
- Counsel Cadets on academic matters according to approved Technical Studies Squadron and Departmental procedures.
- Prepare and invigilate Tests, Assessments and Examination approved Technical Studies Squadron and Departmental procedures.
- Provide an environment that encourages independent learning and a military ethos.
- Provide management feedback to improve service performance, responsiveness and identify opportunities.
- Provide departmental personnel with professional guidance.
- Undertake all mandatory and developmental training as required by the Company.
- Adhere to acceptable standards of behaviour, dress and performance as defined in Company policy.
- Any other duties as deemed reasonable and appropriate by the Company.
Essential
- Hold the ICAO 051, ICAO 052, ICAO 053 and ICAO 054 Courses.
- Extensive experience as an Operational Air Traffic Controller with experience of military fast jet, transport and helicopter operations.
- Experience as an Air Traffic Control Instructor or OJTI and worked in the ATC training environment or Organisation.
- Computing and Keyword Skills Competency.
- Fluency in English to minimum of ICAO level four.
- Hold an Air Traffic Controllers Licence issued by an ICAO Contracting State with validated ratings in (ICAO 052), (ICAO 053) and (ICAO 054).
- Hold the ATC Instructor Course and have successfully completed an OJTI Course.
- Military background.
- Current Air Traffic Controller / Instructor.
- Hold the Rating of ICAO 055 (Area Control Centre).
- Experience as a Unit Training and / or Standards Training Officer.
- RSAF Air Traffic Controller endorsed and validated in the following Air
- AFSC 1523
- AFSC15270
- AFSC15290
- Hold an Air Traffic Controllers Examiner Licence.
- Hold an update certificate of Human Factor Course.
- Hold a Diploma certificate of Human Factor Facilitator Course.

**Appointment and Reporting Lines**
Description/Tasks:
Assigned duties and responsibilities of the Director of Flight Operations are:
- Support Jet Aviation in establishing a GACA approved flight operation under GACAR Part 125
- Take part in audits/inspections conducted by GACA or other authorities and represent the interests of Jet Aviation
- Take part in trainings at Jet Aviation in Zurich, Switzerland as required
- Establish and maintain liaison with the GACA and other regulatory agencies.
- Formulate policies and procedures necessary to maintain the highest level of safety in all flight and ground operations.
- Maintain familiarity and ensure compliance with the contents of the GOM, Operations Specifications, GACA regulations and other state and local regulations that may pertain to GACAR Part 125 operations.
- Ensure the safe and efficient conduct of GACAR Part 125 operations.
- Issue GACA bulletins and JASA operations bulletins necessary to further safety, security and/or efficient flight operations.
- Issue crew and staff bulletins to notify change in equipment and operating procedures, including each known change in the use of navigation aids, airports, air traffic control procedures and regulations, and local airport traffic control rules.
- Administer and supervise crew member training in accordance with GACAR Part 125.
- Ensure the maintenance of crew member training records in accordance with GACAR Part 125.
Establish an approved training program in accordance with GACAR Part 125, Subpart L
- Ensure scheduling of aircraft and crew members in accordance with GACAR Part 125 and the GOM.
- Establish a system to monitor crew member training requirements, airman and medical certification, currency requirements of GACAR Part 61 and GACAR Part 125, and the flight and duty limits of the GOM.
- Notify the GACA Safety office and GACA Aviation Standards of any aircraft accidents or incidents.
- Approve the employment of air carrier crew member personnel.
Assign duties and responsibilities and supervise the activities of the Chief Pilot and Chief IFS.
Qualification/Experience:
- The Director of Flight Operations shall:
- Hold or have held an airline transport pilot certificate (airplane);
- Have experience as PIC in an aircraft of a similar size or complexity as the aircraft used in JASA’s operation; and
- Have at least three (3) years of supervisory or managerial experience in a position that exercised operational control over any operations conducted under GACAR Part 121 or 125 or be in possession of a respective exemption from GACA.
