Job Purpose
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

Job Purpose

Reporting to Manager Air Traffic Control Training the Job Holder is to conduct the Air Traffic Control Training within the Technical Studies Squadron of the KFAA for the delivery of Air Traffic Management and Post Graduate Air Traffic Management Training.
Job Accountabilities
- The Job Holder will assume responsibility for one or more of the following Air Traffic Controller Training Phases:
- ICAO 051 Induction – Air Traffic Control
- ICAO 052 Aerodrome Control
- ICAO 053 Non-Radar Approach Control
- ICAO 054 Radar Approach Control
- Ensure that the company not be put at risk legally; its reputation is not damaged, and the Company satisfies the customer’s needs per the LOA3 agreement.
- Apply Company procedures for Systems Approach to Training and Training Governance.
- Apply Company procedures for configuration control of curriculum and courseware, including preparing documentation recommendation and supporting data for curriculum or courseware changes as required.
- Review courseware and proposed development plans.
- Knowledge of the preparation of timetables, scheduling and instructor allocation using the TMIS and FlightPro Systems.
- Raise reports on the performance of individual cadets, classes, and simulations on departmental performance as required.
- Ensure effective use of the TMIS / LMS or Ispring systems to maintain accurate, up to date, comprehensive, orderly and easily accessible training records.
- Counsel Cadets on academic matters according to approved Technical Studies Squadron and Departmental procedures.
- Prepare and invigilate Tests, Assessments and Examination approved Technical Studies Squadron and Departmental procedures.
- Provide an environment that encourages independent learning and a military ethos.
- Provide management feedback to improve service performance, responsiveness and identify opportunities.
- Provide departmental personnel with professional guidance.
- Undertake all mandatory and developmental training as required by the Company.
- Adhere to acceptable standards of behaviour, dress and performance as defined in Company policy.
- Any other duties as deemed reasonable and appropriate by the Company.
Essential
- Hold the ICAO 051, ICAO 052, ICAO 053 and ICAO 054 Courses.
- Extensive experience as an Operational Air Traffic Controller with experience of military fast jet, transport and helicopter operations.
- Experience as an Air Traffic Control Instructor or OJTI and worked in the ATC training environment or Organisation.
- Computing and Keyword Skills Competency.
- Fluency in English to minimum of ICAO level four.
- Hold an Air Traffic Controllers Licence issued by an ICAO Contracting State with validated ratings in (ICAO 052), (ICAO 053) and (ICAO 054).
- Hold the ATC Instructor Course and have successfully completed an OJTI Course.
- Military background.
- Current Air Traffic Controller / Instructor.
- Hold the Rating of ICAO 055 (Area Control Centre).
- Experience as a Unit Training and / or Standards Training Officer.
- RSAF Air Traffic Controller endorsed and validated in the following Air
- AFSC 1523
- AFSC15270
- AFSC15290
- Hold an Air Traffic Controllers Examiner Licence.
- Hold an update certificate of Human Factor Course.
- Hold a Diploma certificate of Human Factor Facilitator Course.
