Job Purpose:
The Sea Export Operations Team Leader will oversee and support export operations across Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam branches. The role requires managing two operations executives, ensuring smooth execution of shipments, resolving disputes, maintaining strong relations with carriers, vendors, and customers, and supporting departmental reporting and development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Oversight
• Supervise and guide operations executives in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Dammam.
• Monitor export shipment processes to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
• Support team members in execution of bookings, documentation, customs, and container arrangements.
• Ensure adherence to company SOPs and shipping line regulations.
Dispute & Escalation Management
• Act as the escalation point for disputes or service issues with carriers, vendors, and customers.
• Investigate and resolve operational challenges promptly and effectively.
• Ensure proper communication and documentation of dispute resolutions.
Relationship Management
• Maintain professional relationships with carriers, shipping lines, vendors, and customers.
• Represent the company in discussions and negotiations to secure favorable terms and services.
• Support business retention through proactive customer service and problem-solving.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting
• Prepare and submit regular reports on operational performance, KPIs, and challenges.
• Track team productivity and ensure targets are met.
• Provide input to management on process improvements and cost efficiencies.
Team Development & Leadership
• Provide coaching, guidance, and support to operations executives.
• Monitor workload distribution and ensure cross-branch coordination.
• Identify skill gaps and support training and development initiatives.
• Foster a collaborative and professional working environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Sea Export Operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory/team leader role.
• Strong knowledge of international shipping, ocean freight, and customs processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for managing customers, carriers, and vendors.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities under pressure.
• Proficiency in MS Office and logistics systems .
• Strong leadership skills with ability to motivate and develop team members.
