Assists in the daily functioning of the unit/department in support of patient care. Contributes to the delivery of safe, patient and family focused quality care.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

Accurately measures, empties and documents the content of urinary catheters and drains.

Documents all relevant information correctly, appropriately and in a timely manner.

Receives patient for admission and orientates the patient to the room/unit and services.

Prepares patients for procedures as directed, assists the physician and remains with the patient if required.

Collects specimens such as urine, feces or sputum as directed.

Provides comfort measures such as back care, head, foot and hand massage as needed.

Assists patients with preparations for prayer if needed

Education

Completion of one-year Patient Care Technician (PCT) Program.

Experience Required

No experience required.

As a Medical Representative based in Riyadh , you will support hospitals, clinics, pharmacies, and engage directly with ophthalmologists and surgeons across Saudi Arabia to promote the Systane Family (eye drops for dry eye relief and hydration) and drive customer engagement.

A typical day in this role will include:

  • Support key accounts and hospital networks, including referral systems and market access. Ensure high customer satisfaction and manage inquiries and complaints professionally.
  • Support pharmacy-level activities including product education, merchandising, and relationship building to ensure optimal visibility and sell-through.
  • Develop and execute business plans including customer events, marketing campaigns, and sales presentations to achieve objectives. Provide input into promotional fund usage and territory sales forecasting.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, preferably within a similar industry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A strong background in clinical ophthalmology, along with a demonstrated eagerness to learn, is considered a significant advantage
  • Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally
  • Residence in Riyadh is preferred; however, candidates based in Jeddah may also be considered
