Job Description

Role Purpose We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting & Finance Manager to lead and manage all financial, accounting, and compliance functions of the organization. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, internal control implementation , and regulatory compliance in alignment with KSA financial laws and other requirements .

This role requires strong technical expertise, hands-on accounting knowledge , and the ability to drive financial strategy while maintaining daily operational excellence.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES

Key Accountabilities Key Activities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting • Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, payables, receivables, and reconciliations.

• Ensure monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings are completed accurately and on time.

• Prepare financial statements and management reports in accordance with IFRS and other relevant standards .

2. Budgeting & Forecasting • Lead the annual budgeting process and periodic financial forecasts.

• Monitor budget variances and recommend corrective actions to management.

3. Taxation & Compliance • Ensure full compliance with Saudi tax regulations including VAT, Withholding Tax, Zakat, and E-invoicing .

• Liaise with regulatory bodies and external tax consultants/auditors when required.

4. Audit & Internal Controls • Coordinate with external auditors and ensure successful and timely completion of annual audits.

• Develop and implement robust internal controls and accounting procedures.

5. Cash Flow & Treasury • Monitor cash flow, banking transactions, and working capital requirements.

• Prepare cash flow forecasts and manage banking relationships.

6. ERP & Financial Systems • Oversee financial modules of ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).

• Ensure automation and digital record-keeping best practices.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Knowledge / Skills • Strong knowledge of IFRS and KSA tax laws

• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and leadership skills

• Fluency in English is essential; Arabic is a plus

Education /

Certifications

• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Mandatory)

• Professional qualifications like CPA/CMA/CA/ACCA (Preferred)

Experience • Minimum 10 years of progressive accounting & finance experience

• At least 4 years in a managerial role in KSA

• Familiarity with Saudi financial regulations, VAT, Zakat, and WHT

The Financial Analyst is a seasoned subject matter expert, responsible for gathering and analyzing financial data to facilitate decision-making and provides guidance to business stakeholders within the business.

This role makes financial recommendations based on the data they have gathered and analyzed, which includes information regarding past company performance against set metrics and cost management.

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities:

  • Extracts data from financial reports to conduct financial and statistical analysis and identifies financial discrepancies and recommends appropriate solutions.
  • Contributes to the monitoring and controlling of expenditure by approving or denying requisitions based on whether the items are within budget.
  • Prepares a variety of financial reports based on the analysis results.
  • Conducts presentations related to findings and provides recommendations to the relevant internal stakeholders.

  • Strategic Financial Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to design and implement long-term strategic plans. Evaluate business opportunities through profitability and ROI analysis. Facilitate the Finance Manager in scenario planning to assess potential outcomes of strategic initiatives. Facilitate the Finance Manager in integrating strategic plans into financial forecasting processes.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Prepare and deliver management reports, including dashboards, KPIs, and financial insights. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities that may impact financial performance. Ensure consistency, accuracy, and integrity in financial data across systems and reports.
  • Expected Credit Losses: Ensure compliance with accounting standards (IFRS) and SAMA regulations for Financing Companies for recognizing expected credit losses. Calculate and report ECL figures as part of financial statements. Analyze how ECL impacts financial performance and forecasts. Control receivables staging and maintain company’s ECL to lowest levels.
  • Operational Finance and Cost Management: Partner with operations teams to analyze cost structures and identify efficiency opportunities. Monitor and report on operational performance metrics and their financial implications. Develop cost allocation models and provide insights into cost drivers. Support operational decision-making by linking operational metrics to financial outcomes.

Grant Thornton Abdulaal Bahrain is hiring on behalf of a leading financial advisory firm based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia . The firm is seeking a candidate with a strong background in finance or investment banking to support strategic, business, and operational reviews of potential opportunities. The role includes advanced financial modeling (NPV, IRR, DCF, etc.), preparing partner specific financial projections, conducting economic and regulatory analysis, and delivering financial insights to senior management.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Support the initial strategic, business, and operational review of potential opportunities, providing detailed financial analysis
  • Prepare and analyze partner specific financial projections work with team to generate business models for use in growing marketplace
  • Advanced quantitative and economic analysis, policy and regulatory research and support, and technical analysis
  • Financial modeling using NPV, IRR, DCF/SOTP/Value in Use, etc.
  • Develop excellent professional oral and written communication skills to establish working relationships with clients
  • Review financial results with Senior Management, support the team to create reporting packages
  • Manage the relationship with related business partners and ensures that modeling projects are delivered in a timely manner
  • Responsible for model design, development, model implementation, model usage, and model governance requirements
  • Conduct scenario analysis based on micro economic and macroeconomic factors to access business risk
  • Evaluate companies using various financial valuation methods.
  • Ensure the new models accuracy while enhancing the existing models quality
  • Identify key financial and non-financial risks and advise mitigants for those risks
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis
  • Analyze and identify data required to support model tracking

Education Qualification and additional skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance, or a related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency performing analyses at the highest levels
  • Minimum of 4+ years experience in financial analysis with progressive work history
  • Ability to persuade others through disciplined use of data
  • Exceptional dexterity with presentation and spreadsheet tool
  • Preference will be given to candidates currently based in Saudi Arabia
