Reporting to the Head of Farms, we are seeking an accomplished engineering leader to provide expert technical support across our multiple commercial farm locations in Middle East. This role oversees all electrical engineering operations, managing a dedicated team of engineers and support staff.

Responsibilities:

The Head of Engineering will lead the design, selection, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems across farm facilities, ensuring optimal functionality and yield. About The Role

  • Promote safe works practices and environmental protection, ensuring that safety standards are respected
  • Ensure the fulfilment of the project quality and contractual requirements
  • Verify and confirm the availability of drawings and materials to plan the efficient execution of the works performed by subcontractors or by assigned direct hiring personnel (feasibility analysis)
  • Set-up time schedule adhering to the time frame allocated to the specific scope of work
  • Arrange for the correct and cost-effective performance of electrical construction works, in accordance with the established operating programs
  • Coordinating and controlling the activities performed by the integrated team composed by supervisor, field engineers and Quality inspectors
  • Coordinate and manage all the external stakeholders including, but not limited to, clients, contractors, vendors other agency as required
  • Give all information regarding the progress of the work indicating any cause of deviations between the program and the work carried out and propose any corrective actions as required to overcome these problems. Control production parameters in terms of efficiency and productivity
  • Ensure proper discipline workflow, interfacing with all the project organization
  • Support the resolution of technical problems encountered during the execution of the works
  • Ensure the correct quantities accounts of the works, including updating man-hours and cost estimates for scope of work changes
  • Ensure the supervision and monitoring of the works performed, subcontracted or in direct hiring. Coordinate human and technical resources, indicating any needs or surplus. Plan and monitor vendors or any specialists activities at site
  • Manage the technical and administrative documentation
  • Manage the accounting work progress following the construction program, updating the progress monitoring and verifying the invoices from Sub-contractors
  • Ensure the achievement of the MC certificate according to priority and systemization done by commissioning, being responsible for certification and punch list clearance

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a similar field.
  • Proven work experience as an electrical Superintendent.
  • 10-15 years of experience in Oil & Gas Industry (Aramco Projects)

Job Description

  1. Keeps the Assistant Security Manager/Director of Security informed of all security-related matters. Depending on the distribution of Fire, Security responsibility, coordinates with the Director of Engineering in this matter.
  2. Liaises with Management personnel and all employees and assists with security problems and loss control.
  3. Liaises with local law enforcement and Fire & Safety officials.
  4. Maintains proper grooming at all times.
  5. Attends training classes as per schedule.
  6. Shows fullest cooperation and respect within the team and other departments.
  7. Is aware of the daily activities and has product knowledge of all the hotel facilities.
  8. Trains Security employees in all Resort regulations and all factors affecting the operations of the Resort, including fire prevention and safety procedures, basic firefighting, lifesaving techniques, preservation of crime scenes and evidence, actions, duties, and powers where crime is detected, action in crisis situations, report writing, public relations, and psychology.
  9. Supervises the daily processing and distribution of security reports to Management.
  10. Keeps all records and reports concerning security matters and Resort businesses confidential.
  11. Is fully trained and prepared for all emergency situations as per procedures.
  12. Evaluates ongoing threats to Security.
  13. In coordination with the engineering department, conducts regular preventive maintenance of all safety equipment.
  14. Supervises that all employees use the proximity card reader at security posts at the staff entrance.
  15. Controls access in and out of back-of-the-house areas for contractors, visitors, and suppliers; issues and monitors visitor passes.
  16. Regularly inspects all security posts, including CCTV room.
  17. Ensures staff are familiar with the Resort’s emergency procedures and are prepared for emergencies.
  18. Conducts regular skills and technical training, including live fire drills.
  19. Reviews Duty Manager/Night Manager book daily and takes corrective actions when security issues arise.
  20. Reviews Security logbook daily and takes necessary actions, informing the Security Manager.
  21. Maintains a monthly overview of security staff’s vacation and public holiday balances.
  22. Familiarizes with all relevant company documentation, especially the Operational Standards Manual.
  23. Updates the emergency manual with appropriate procedures and forms, in consultation with the Security Manager.
  24. Trains existing employees and newcomers regularly, including live fire drills.
  25. Conducts skills and technical training within his/her area of responsibility regularly.

Qualifications

University Degree in any field. Minimum 2 years in a similar role with a five-star hotel, preferably in the UAE. Strong team management skills, computer skills, and excellent communication skills.
