**JOB PURPOSE**

To monitor and maintain the department performance at appropriate level including timely delivery of technical support services related to inspection and troubleshooting of electrical system in safe, efficient and cost effective manner as to ensure integrity and reliability of system.

**JOB KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**
- Develop the KPI's of electrical section and align the objective with over all company vision and objectives.
- Responsible for developing the electrical system maintenance strategy in the complex.
- Provide the engineering resources for plant maintenance support.
- Responsible for reliability study of enhancing the design and eliminate the bad actors.
- Provide the resources and guidance for project in different stage of conceptual design, QA/QC and commissioning.
- Team work environment sense with guidance toward achieve the set KPIs
- Ability to provide the required leadership to handle the electrical scope on the company

**MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS**
- Education qualifications: Bachelors of Electrical Engineering.
- Years of experience: 5 years of related experience.

**COMPETENCIES/SKILLS REQIREMENTS**
- Proficient knowledge in electrical power systems.
- Skills in troubleshooting of electrical system failures including (i.e transformers, relays, motors, VSD, etc)
- Familiar with international codes and standard for electrical systems design.
- Practice a leadership role at level of engineer (investigation, facilitate RCA, task leader, etc)
- Knowledge in the electrical protection systems.
- Works to broad guidelines and Set objectives.
- Management skills and acts as a source of expertise.
- OMS Knowledge, Management System Development & Improvement Skills, Technical Report Writing, MS Office Applications, Effective Presentation, Root Cause Analysis.

2. JOB PURPOSE:

Study, review and develop conceptual plans and scope of works for providing power generation to meet customer demands based on optimal factors of power system capacity and utilization factors.

3. JOB DIMENSIONS:

Number of Staff Supervised: None

4. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  1. Studies and Reviews: Conduct studies and review proposals relating to upgradation of Power Generation facilities and building new installations. Coordinate with external consultants engaged for system studies and analysis.
  2. Master Plan for Power Generation: Coordinate with Demand Forecast Department to develop an annual plan for inclusion in the Master Plan (5 & 15 years) and update it regularly.
  3. Data Base Management & Asset Utilization: Develop and maintain a database of existing power generation facilities and analyze system loading to determine peak and low values.
  4. Utility Request Management: Coordinate with Demand forecast department to plan for meeting the demand of major customers and submit designs for approval.
  5. Business Unit Capex Proposal Evaluation: Conduct a techno-commercial evaluation of business unit Capex proposals and advise Management.
  6. MIS Reporting: Develop and keep updated Management Information System giving key Technical Data helpful for Business decisions.
  7. Policies & Procedures: Recommend improvements to departmental procedures and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental management procedures.
5. JOB CONTEXT:

The position reports to Superintendent, Power Planning and is responsible for studying, reviewing, and developing conceptual plans for providing electric power to customers.

6. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: Coordination within own department and other departments.
External: Coordination with RC and equipment manufacturers.

7. FRAMEWORKS, BOUNDARIES, & DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY:

No financial authority for the position. Work according to established procedures and make decisions relating to service provision.

8. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualifications: University degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
