Postdoctoral Researcher - RF/mmWave Integrated Circuits The Integrated Telecommunications and Sensing Systems (ITASS) Lab at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of RF/mmWave Integrated Circuits to contribute to pioneering research in wireless communications and sensing systems. The successful candidate will participate in the design, prototyping, and experimental validation of integrated circuits for phased-array transceivers, operating in the 60-140 GHz range. These systems target advanced applications such as 6G wireless networks, high-resolution radar, and joint communication and sensing (JCAS). You will join a multidisciplinary and well-funded research environment with full access to world-class infrastructure, including advanced EDA tools, cleanroom nanofabrication, RF/mmWave test labs, and multi-project wafer (MPW) tapeouts. The position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in RFIC design who are motivated to publish in top-tier IEEE conferences and journals (ISSCC, RFIC, IMS, JSSC, TMTT) and contribute to next-generation wireless and sensing technologies. Skills/Qualifications PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field with a focus on RFIC/mmWave integrated circuit design. Strong experience in designing RF/mmWave circuits such as LNAs, mixers, PAs, VCOs, or phased-array front-ends. Proficiency in EDA tools (Cadence Virtuoso, ADS) and EM simulation tools ( HFSS, EMX, etc.). Hands-on experience with full custom IC tapeout in CMOS or SiGe technologies. Familiarity with high-frequency measurements using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, and probe stations. Track record of publications in relevant IEEE conferences and journals (e.g., ISSCC, RFIC, IMS, JSSC, TMTT). Specific Requirements Preferred: Experience in phased-array system design, beamforming techniques, or JCAS architectures. Knowledge of mmWave packaging, PCB integration, or antenna-on-chip/antenna-in-package concepts. Background in system-level co-design (hardware/software integration, MATLAB or Python modeling). - Fit, sand, assemble and bond parts into assemblies to complete customer orders.
- Maintain and record specified tolerance/ dimensions as required on the manufacturing & Inspections reports and for accurate inventory management.

- Produce high quality reports, presentations and other documentation for external use and publication.
- To work on several individual projects concurrently and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines.

- To work as part of an integrated building and design team and co-ordinate with other design disciplines.
Requirements:
Technical Competencies:
- Degree in Design, Fine Arts, or related field.
- Proven graphic design experience with a minimum of 6-8 years and ideally within a multi-disciplinary design and engineering consultancy environment.
- Significant expertise and experience using major graphic design tools like InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
- Exceptional flair for typography, layout design, colour harmony, and visual storytelling, paired with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively in both written and spoken English. Ability to speak and write in Arabic is a plus.
- Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to produce high quality, creative and attractive reports and presentations, using InDesign and PowerPoint.
- Must be able to produce engaging diagrams/infographics and other high-quality visuals to communicate complex concepts.
- Must have appreciation of the work of other disciplines.
- Must be able to learn and retain new skills quickly from a variety of sources.
Desirable:
- Proficiency in SketchUp, the Autodesk suite, and other relevant software is advantageous but not mandatory.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Day to day inspection and reporting activities.
- Work in accordance with ARM QMS and HSE procedures& policies.
- Supporting workshop foreman in monitoring, identification, and traceability process.
- Perform timely incoming inspection (materials, steel structures, capital equipment, mechanical parts).
- Review and approval of supplier inspection report.
- Perform timely quality inspection in accordance with Inspection and Test Plan (ITP), Router, drawings and quality instructions in the shops.
- Perform visual and dimensional control of weld joints.
- Perform visual, dimensional control of steel structures, including quality of painting.
- Review and control of painting production process (temperature, humidity, thickness of wet and dry layer)
- Perform required NDT inspection or review NDT reports (for outsourced NDT processes)
- Prepare required inspection reports.
- Monitoring and maintain the measurement instrument/ equipment calibration up to date.
- Create Non-conformance reports (NCRs), when required. Provide marking and isolation of nonconforming products/ parts.
- Create disposition plan for every Non-conformance report, monitoring status of created NCRs and implementation of disposition.
- Re-inspect nonconforming products/ parts after repair/rework.
- Need to perform duty as and when required by Shop supervisors and job priority.
- Involve in internal and external audits.
- Perform another work-related task as assigned.
Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide verity of inspection and quality control operations in visual, dimensional, and functional nature, making necessary critical observations, tests, or competing appropriate documentation as required.
Education/Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- AWS/CSWIP CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector as minimum.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 3 years of weld visual inspection experience.
- Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Familiar with API 4F, 8C, and 16A, and AWS D1.1 code requirements.
The following are a plus:
- NDT Level II for PT, MT & UT.
- NACE or BGas Certified Coating Inspector level II.
Key Competencies & Skills:
- Good understanding of the Company Quality Management System
- Knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings; AWS D1.1 inspection criteria; and understanding material specifications and requirements.
- Acceptable skills in use of inspection and measuring equipment.
- Good computer skills
- Good skills in oral and written communications, fluent English
