Postdoctoral Researcher - RF/mmWave Integrated Circuits The Integrated Telecommunications and Sensing Systems (ITASS) Lab at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher in the field of RF/mmWave Integrated Circuits to contribute to pioneering research in wireless communications and sensing systems. The successful candidate will participate in the design, prototyping, and experimental validation of integrated circuits for phased-array transceivers, operating in the 60-140 GHz range. These systems target advanced applications such as 6G wireless networks, high-resolution radar, and joint communication and sensing (JCAS). You will join a multidisciplinary and well-funded research environment with full access to world-class infrastructure, including advanced EDA tools, cleanroom nanofabrication, RF/mmWave test labs, and multi-project wafer (MPW) tapeouts. The position is ideal for candidates with a strong background in RFIC design who are motivated to publish in top-tier IEEE conferences and journals (ISSCC, RFIC, IMS, JSSC, TMTT) and contribute to next-generation wireless and sensing technologies. Skills/Qualifications PhD in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field with a focus on RFIC/mmWave integrated circuit design. Strong experience in designing RF/mmWave circuits such as LNAs, mixers, PAs, VCOs, or phased-array front-ends. Your mission
As HSE Engineer in our Thermal Generation department, you will play a key role in ensuring that health, safety, environmental, and security standards are implemented and maintained at all stages of large Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) and Thermal Power Plant projects. You will be part of the Owner's Engineer (OE) team supervising the EPC Contractor's work, ensuring compliance with Saudi Arabian and international HSE regulations, and fostering a culture of safety on site.

Your key responsibilities
  • Supervise and monitor the EPC Contractor's implementation of HSE procedures on site.
  • Review HSE statistics, weekly and monthly HSE reports submitted by the Contractor.
  • Identify and address any non-compliance or unsafe acts, and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  • Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance with safety, environmental, and security standards.
  • Promote safe working practices and provide guidance to project staff on HSE issues.
  • Coordinate with the Client's HSE Manager, OE Project Site Manager, and Tractebel Head Office HSE leadership.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local and international safety and environmental regulations.

      • Supervises use and auditing of the Site Quality Assurance and Safety Programs;

Your mission
As Contract and Planning Engineer in our Thermal Generation department, you will play a key role in ensuring effective project planning, scheduling, contract administration, and cost control for large Combined Cycle and Thermal Power Plant projects. You will be an integral part of the Owner's Engineer (OE) team, working closely with the Client and EPC Contractor to monitor project performance, resolve contractual matters, and ensure timely completion.

Your key responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor project planning, scheduling, and budget control activities.
  • Proficiently use Primavera for planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
  • Review, assess, and resolve project claims, variation orders, and contractual issues.
  • Monitor weekly and monthly progress reports submitted by the EPC Contractor.
  • Analyze reported delays, assess recovery schedules, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Review milestone completions and certify progress for payment purposes.
  • Apply knowledge of FIDIC Turnkey/EPC Contracts in day-to-day contract administration.
  • Prepare and present progress and cost control reports to the OE Project Site Manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and technical requirements.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (approved by Saudi Council of Engineers).
  • Minimum 13 years' experience in project planning, contracts, and cost control of large construction projects, including at least 10 years in Thermal and Combined Cycle Gas Turbine projects.
