Position Description
We are seeking an Oil Processing Engineer to join the Upstream Process Engineering Division part of our Process and Control Systems Department.
The Upstream Process Engineering Division is responsible for providing process engineering expertise, support and consultation in the areas of Gas Processing, Oil and Flow Assurance Applications.
As an Oil Processing Engineer your primary role is to provide specific technical expertise as well as to support and consult in specific areas of Crude Oil Processing.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Provide technical support for Crude Oil processing operating plants. Troubleshoot major plant upsets and/or chronic operational problems and to identify improvement opportunities, potential problems, and remedies to existing problems.
- Provide technical lead in the evaluation of Crude Oil Processing and Water Treatment technologies to improve plant’s performance.
- Develop plans and road maps for reviewing and incorporating new technologies including preliminary economics.
- Conduct simulations studies process simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS and utilize process models for new and existing facilities to conduct production capacity assessment and identify plant’s bottlenecks.
- Prepare preliminary scope of work (including process schematic and equipment list) to debottleneck existing facilities or design new facilities.
- Coordinate the execution of capacity increase studies with operating facilities and detailed engineering design contractor and / or Vendors. This would involve setting the design basis and scope of work as require to ensure study is sufficiently comprehensive to satisfy objective.
- Create/Update Saudi Aramco Engineering Standards related to Crude Oil Processing.
- Support process design and engineering activities for new projects in conceptual, pre-FEED, FEED and Detailed Engineering phases.
- Mentor and develop Saudi Arab Engineers.
- Develop new and/or deliver existing technical courses for engineers from operating facilities.
- Present technical papers in major international conferences and issue papers in reputable oil and gas journals.
Minimum Requirements
As a successful candidate you will hold a:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering. A Masters or higher education is desirable, but not required.
- Minimum 20 years of experience working directly with Oil processing such as Gas / Liquid Gravity Separators, Liquid / Liquid Gravity Separators, Electrostatic Coalescers, Crude Stabilizers, Gas Compression Units, Primary and Secondary Water Treatment. With 3 years working with Crude Processing Facilities
- Membership of a recognized professional institute is .
- Have adequate design experience in order to take a lead role as the company representative when working with engineering companies performing studies and design activities for Oil Processing projects.
- Expert in process simulation modelling such as Aspen Hysys.
- Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamic (CFD) Analysis is .

OverviewWe are seeking a Pilot Plant Process Engineer to join our Research & Analytical Services Department (R&ASD). R&ASD hosts sophisticated pilot plant facilities which support relevant research, technology and specialized technical services in order to generate value for its stakeholders, increase organization efficiency, promote sustainable outcomes and resolve chronic operational challenges. Its current assets include 15 pilot plants covering separation, refining, petrochemical and sustainability processes. R&ASD is committed to working collaboratively with its customers, building pilot plant assets and finding new ways of developing oil and gas resources, through innovative solutions, technology development and engineering support to corporate operation.
Your primary role is to ensure efficiency, safety, and sustainability of processes of the pilot plants which handle catalytic processes that use hydrocarbons. You will play an important role in designing, implementing, and optimizing processes in the pilot plant center of excellence division, regarding engineering projects and pilot plant design and operation.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Develop and implement experimental plans for catalyst and process testing.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop the design of experiments and design pilot plants.
- Supervise and ensure the smooth operation of pilot plants, overseeing both the performance of equipment and the test variables.
- Continuously monitor process parameters and suggest optimizations to achieve target efficiencies and outcomes.
- Identify and troubleshoot issues in the pilot plants.
- Record, analyze, and interpret data from catalyst testing and process simulations.
- Use the data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and validate design assumptions for large-scale deployment.
- Prepare detailed end-test reports on pilot plants.
- Ensure that all pilot plant operations are conducted in accordance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement control measures to mitigate operational hazards.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or other relevant Engineering degree. An advanced degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years plant operations or engineering experience, of which at least 5 must have been in an oil refinery, chemical plant, R&D experience, or other relevant hydrocarbon industry facility. Pilot plant operation or design competency is a plus.
- Well versed in current statutory regulations, industry standards, recommended practices and a practical sense in applying such references.
- Experience managing/executing small to medium sized projects.
- Proven ability to work in an unstructured environment to help develop new systems and infrastructure.
- Demonstrated understanding of area classifications and specifications of site equipment.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety in an operational environment. Hands-on support of operations and technical work teams is also a requirement.

We are seeking a Downstream Pricing Analyst to join our Global Optimizer Development Department (GOD).
The (GOD) charter is to optimize crude allocation and the operations of global manufacturing facilities in order to maximize revenue, increase profitability, and capture international market opportunities.
Your primary role is to be responsible for developing and enhancing price forecast visualization tool, compute and issue transfer prices and coordinate with stakeholders to validate price implementation. In that capacity the incumbent shall be the primary source for refined products, crude, chemicals and freights forecast needed by Global Optimizer team and Affiliates Affairs organization. Continuously assess transfer prices implementation.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Develop, maintain, and continuously improve fit-for–purpose price forecast visualization tools.
- Consult with Pricing Insights and Market Analysis team and Asset Economists (AE) to gather information on global events affecting energy/ oil & gas market and market trends.
- Gather data from forward curves of all crude and products, market premium or discount values, costs of freight and other elements of Transfer Prices.
- Compute transfer prices daily for M till M+3, according to the planning cycle.
- Coordinate with AEs and market insights for review and validation of prices to be issued.
- Issue price forecast weekly to the AEs to ensure timely identification of opportunities, estimate up lift margins and serve as a basis for negotiations among stakeholders.
- Issue actual transfer prices on the last day of the month for the following month, to allow for timely review.
- Perform periodic lookback of TP forecasting quality and identify trends.
- Perform random checks and assist accounting department to maintain quality of implemented prices on Standard and Non-Standard Cargoes.
Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor Degree in Statistics, Commerce, Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration or closely related subject.
- Post-graduate education or equivalent experience in MBA/ Statistics/Economics is desirable.
- Deep knowledge of model development and utilization of MS Excel functions.
- Detailed understanding of downstream business and supply chain.
- Minimum of 8+ years of relevant professional experience (preferable in oil & gas downstream business), including 3+ years in field as data analytics including market research, corporate planning, business development).

We are seeking an Environmental Professional to join the Saudi Aramco Upstream Business Support department, Operational Excellence and Compliance (UOE&CD) Division.
The Environmental Group under UOE&CD oversees and reports on environmental requirements and activities to the President of Upstream, driving performance through monitoring, process optimization, and guidance to operating departments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure Upstream operations remain compliant with ISO 14001 by conducting EMS audits and ECAs to improve Environmental KPIs, bridge compliance gaps, and prepare for assessments.
- Identify and address compliance gaps against regulations.
- Report on environmental compliance, including KPIs related to flaring, SO2, GHGs, water conservation, waste, NOx, VOCs, PM, and CO2.
- Support sustainability reporting and facilitate third-party assurance audits.
- Advise on regulatory compliance and environmental process improvements.
- Engage with external stakeholders on environmental compliance issues.
- Monitor performance of environmental processes to ensure outcomes.
- Analyze data for trends, gaps, and provide recommendations.
- Advise operations on environmental risks and mitigation strategies.
- Provide feedback for standards review and revisions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical Engineering, or Environmental Science; Master’s preferred.
- 5-10 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience with EMS audits, ISO 14001.
- Certifications such as CEP, ISO14001 Lead Auditor, NEBOSH, GRI are advantageous.
- Experience in waste, water, and air quality management and reporting.
- Understanding of GHG standards and pollution mitigation practices.
- Knowledge of Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies.

We are seeking a Downstream Strategist to join Fuels Strategy & Capital Planning Department.
Fuels Strategy & Capital Planning Department assumes the responsibility of developing Fuels’ Business Unit (BU)strategy, performing capital management, initiating portfolio synergies/optimization opportunities, and conducting financial management activities.
You will be the subject matter expert in Downstream strategy and scenario planning and act as the “BU Advisor” for Downstream business-related issues. You will independently initiate research on wide-ranging topics that look into long-term scenarios that might impact the BU’s competitive advantage and prepare research, special studies and analysis as required, for the Strategic Council and other and Corporate Committees.
Key Responsibilities
As the successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Serve as subject matter expert in Downstream strategy and scenario planning.
- Prepare research, special studies and market analysis as required, for the Downstream Strategy Council and other Corporate and Downstream Committees.
- Collaborate in group of strategists responsible for articulating the overall Fuels’ BU strategy, as well as the formulation of the outlook scenarios.
- Collaborate in a group of strategists and planners responsible for development of the Fuels BU long-term strategic plans, including capital/resource allocation plans.
