  • The Senior Project Manager will lead their team, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions that provide superior outcomes. They will provide consistent leadership and will support client focus and responsiveness and will help to ensure we can identify and anticipate client needs.
  • Lead and manage the entire design process for roads and transportation infrastructure from inception to implementation including the underground civil utility projects.
  • Collaborate closely with our internal teams, clients, contractors and stakeholders to fully understand project requirements and create innovative design solutions that satisfy client requirements and fully satisfies local codes and standards.
  • Ensure smooth coordination with consultants, making sure they adhere to project timelines and meet our clients’ high-quality standards.
  • Lead the team to ensure design deliverables are provided by the consultants in accordance with their Contract and district and sub-district program requirements.
  • Coordinate design and construction work with the other projects in the delivery program.
  • Conduct regular design review meetings where you will provide technical guidance and support to our clients, consultants, contractors and team members.
  • Proactively monitor and track project progress, promptly identify and resolve any design-related challenges or conflicts that may arise and report timeously on these.
  • Efficiently manage and maintain meticulous project documentation, including design records, change orders, and necessary approvals.
  • Maintain strict compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations to guarantee the success of each project.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, consultants, contractors and stakeholders to ensure effective coordination and integration of various design elements to achieve seamless progression from design, construction to final handover.
  • Compilation and presentation of reports and visual presentations regarding designs, design reviews, cost analysis and progress on project tasks.
  • Setup and chair meetings with the client, consultants, design team and stakeholders whilst capturing minutes of meetings as necessary.
  • Oversee and manage all project interfaces within the delivery program.
  • Comply with client's governance requirements.
Minimum Requirements:
  • A 4-year Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is necessary.
  • An Engineering Master’s degree is desirable.
  • Registration as a Chartered Civil Engineer is necessary (or similar).
  • Must have a minimum of 15-years roads and transportation engineering experience in design, detailed reviews, documentation and specifications, project management and staff coordination.
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, techniques, and best practices related to road and transportation engineering.
  • Experience in the design of roads and highways infrastructure including geometric design, pavement layer design and traffic engineering.
  • Experience in the design of civil underground utilities (wet and dry) will be an advantage.
  • Proficiency in using engineering design software and related tools is necessary.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget is necessary.
  • Diverse experience working within mega/large scale complex design and construction programs across private and/or government sectors would be an advantage.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will be expected to collaborate effectively with our clients, consultants, contractors, multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, coupled with attention to detail.
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with the ability to multi-task and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry and local standards, codes and regulations.
