The Lab Technology Consultant in addition to the capability of performing high complexity testing in different Lab units, he/she is responsible for the technical and scientific oversight of the assigned laboratory division/unit to obtain accurate and precise data for use in diagnosis and treatment of diseases

Strategic Roles & Responsibilities- Participate in establishing new key performance indicators that monitors and improve operational performance in order to meet organizational strategic objectives
- Participate in the annual quality management system evaluation writing new operational manuals
- Participate in the establishment or verification of laboratory test performance specifications and selection of test methodology as well as the enrollment and participation in proficiency testing
- Participate in the establishment of a quality control program to monitor ongoing test performance

Operational Roles & Responsibilities- Be available in laboratory as needed for telephone electronic and onsite consultation sign and release high complexity testing patients report as required by CAP AABB CBAHI and MOH when assigned in specialty units
- Act as a mentor for lab staff in the assigned units provide full technical supervision in technical areas when assigned by Lab management
- Perform variety of high complexity Laboratory testing using automated analyzers or manual techniques in Chemistry Serology immunology Hematology Blood Bank Microbiology and Molecular Microbiology and other lab specialties
- Act as a reference for the resolution of technical problems and ensuring that remedial actions are taken ensure that patient results are not reported until corrective actions are taken and test systems are functioning properly
- Responsible for Identification of training needs and assess the competency of personnel performing moderate and high complexity testing when this duty is delegated in writing by the laboratory director
- Ensure that all quality and accreditation standards as required by CAP AABB JCI CBAHI and SFDA are being implemented and followed Work with Lab management for process improvement and operational excellence in order to achieve organizational goals and objectives
Saudi Commission for health specialties Licensure requirement must be met (SCFHS Classification and Saudi MOH Licensed).Medical Laboratory technologists/Scientists certified through the American Pathologist Board of Certification (BOC) ASCP or equivalent is required.
Years of ExperienceMinimum 16 years’ experience in a licensed Medical facility/Clinical laboratory as Lab Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Specialist/ Clinical Lab Technology consultant. Or PhD holder; Doctoral Scientist in Chemistry, Immunology , Hematology, Microbiology, Molecular microbiology science, with specialized training and/or appropriate experience.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The Technology Development Specialist will support all aspects of the Saudi Tech Center including, technology development, business development and customer support. Responsibilities will include:
+ To use technology experience and engineering knowledge for the KBR technologies which includes Ammonia, Olefins, Specialty Chemicals.
+ Drafting technology papers, technology information packages for clients, responding to client questions regarding technology, project execution and deliverables
+ Leading technology sessions, presenting papers, building customer and partner relationships, and developing new/existing sales leads
+ Development and maintenance of relationships with key client decision makers and executives
+ Technology support of sales leads by participating in meeting and liaison between technology and sales teams
+ Support of regional marketing events as a spokesperson for the business line
+ Coordination of cross-functional teams
+ To maintain awareness and evaluate the state of the Saudi and GCC market, advising on business line strategy and technology development
+ To provide support to the evaluation and execution of alliances and acquisitions of relevant technologies
+ Under broad direction, to interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate other duties as assigned
+ REQUIREMENTS:
+ BSc or MSc in Process, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, Physics or equivalent
+ Minimum of 6+ years CURRENT experience process technology
+ Is capable of understanding technology differences and can argumentatively convince others about pros and cons of various technologies
+ Understands challenges related to new technology implementation, including financial, environmental, legal, social and technical aspects
+ Able to work in cross-functional and multi-cultural environments
+ Must have the ability to clearly convey technical concepts and principles in both verbal and written communications to clients, peers and KBR management
+ Master in Process, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or Physics
+ MBA would be a plus
+ Experience in renewable energy, in particular its generation and storage in a chemical form to cope with its intermittency nature
+ Experience with business development is strongly desired
+ Operational experience in an ammonia or similar (e.g. methanol, nitric acid, etc.) plant or EPC experience would be a plus
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
+ Must be willing and available for 25-50% domestic and international travel
