How You’ll Make An Impact
- You will be working as Field Service Engineer to execute the installation testing and commissioning activities at customer site or Hitachi Energy projects related to the HV products, including third party HV products if applicable and authorized by Hitachi Energy management.
- You will be active participation in site activities and visiting the customer for Installation testing and commissioning of Hitachi HV GIS, GCB, LTB, DTB and other equipment as and when required or assigned by the line manager.
- You will coordinate / interface with tools management department and take care of HV tools, arrange and properly use Hitachi Energy HV test equipment and tools to execute site activities for HV Products installation, testing and commissioning, protection and control.
- You will be complete GIS installation and GIS compartment assembly work, minor fabrications if required, trouble shooting and rectification of HV products defect workable at customer site and advise the action plan if the repair work need to be carried out in Hitachi Energy factory or workshop. Supports the work activities of PGHV Service at site, or at customer workplace.
- You will learn and perform the test equipment operation used for HV product testing and maintenance work at sites, customer premises or Hitachi Energy workplace. Learn how to use tools used for HV products service jobs.
- You will work with the Project Management team on various projects and when required with full compliance of PM requirement and maintain discipline advice by the PM or customer site regulations.

Where is this opportunity located?
This position is a full-time role located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
When will I work?
- Most of your work will be Sunday –Thursday during normal business hours.
- Some last-minute scheduling happens at times to meet our customer needs when an unexpected repair or event happens.Your schedulemay vary and willinclude some nights and weekends depending on business. needs.Westrive for work/life balance and time-off-in-lieu may be granted to maintain appropriate standard hours.

Where will I be working?
- Your office will be in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
- You will travel to customer sites within your regional area. You may also travel nationwide or internationally depending on business needs. Most of the travel will be throughout the Middle East, West/Central Asia, and Africa. On-site work can vary by location and from day to day. One day you might work inside a control room, the next day you might be outside on a lift or ladder working with a video display.
- When you aren’t working on a customer site, you will work from your office to remotely support our customers.
What will work look like for me?
Our Field Service Engineers provide phone, remote, and on-site support for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Daktronics products.
Onsite Support consists of supporting Daktronics equipment and end customers where the equipment is located. This work will primarily focus on:
- Providing service, installation, or support during an event at a customer site.
- Providing on-site technical and maintenance services for Control Systems and Display Systems.
- Leveraging your knowledge by training our Service Partners.
- Regularly participating in technical training on new and different products and systems to advance your technical knowledge to support Daktronics Customers.
- Actively creating and updating knowledge base articles for internal/external use.
- On-site technical support may include terminating fiber, field repair, testing and system level troubleshooting.
Remote Support consists of supporting Daktronics equipment and end customers. This work will primarily focus on:
- Providing technical, over-the-phone support to internal and external customers.
- Responding to customers’ requests for technical support primarily through incoming and proactive outbound calls.
- Providing software application installation/configuration support along with “how-to” assistance.
- Troubleshooting and solving basic to sophisticated hardware and software technical issues.
General Responsibilities will include:

- Follow the procedures outlined in the Installation Supervisor’s Guide.
- Relay customer feedback on product performance and features to Customer Service and Engineering, including detailed site reports on installation and service work.
- Take a proactive approach to the service needs of Daktronics customers.
- Competently represent Daktronics to customers, in a confident and professional manner.
- Develop a strong business relationship with key customers in the area. Take key role in service relationships with customers.
- Become knowledgeable about and follow company procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
To be considered for Field Service Engineer, we require the following:
- Minimum of an associate degree plus relevant experience. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Preferred majors include Electronics Engineering Technology, Computer Engineering Technology, A/V Broadcast, or similar program. Will consider non-technical bachelor’s degree if applicant also has previous experience demonstrating technical learning ability.
- Two or more years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Able to work at heights, work from a ladder, and ability to carry ladder/tools/parts from vehicle to work site.
- Available to work evenings, midnight shifts and/or weekends to support facility event schedule.
- Fluent in English and Arabic, both written and verbal.
- Ability to travel by air and ground. Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Must be willing and able to travel outside of the KSA. The majority of the travel will be throughout the Middle East, West/Central Asia and Africa.Occasional travel will also be required to locations such as the United States, China, and Europe.
- Must be able to complete work responsibilities with little supervision.
- Effectively exercise discretion and independent judgment.
- Strong computer skills are necessary. Examples include Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.) and Internet navigation.
- Background check may be conducted.
- Must have a valid KSA issued driver’s license.
