The Tax Specialist will support the company's tax department in ensuring full compliance with Saudi tax and zakat regulations, as well as overseas tax laws when required. The role is responsible for managing day-to-day tax filings for Tamasuk and its subsidiaries, assisting in audits, coordinating with other departments, and providing accurate reporting to management. In addition, the position will support strategic tax planning and risk management initiatives. This role ensures proper alignment between financial records and tax obligations, thereby contributing to the company's regulatory compliance, governance, and overall operational efficiency
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review Zakat, VAT, WHT, and CIT returns.
- Maintain compliance with Tax laws, regulations, and updates.
- Support in audits, assessments, and reconciliations with ZATCA and external advisors.
- Assist with tax planning, advisory projects, and structuring initiatives.
- Liaise with finance teams (AP, AR, procurement, GL) to ensure accuracy in tax reporting.
- Maintain proper documentation for filings, audits, and internal records.
- Prepare tax reports and management dashboards for internal review.
- Assist in building ERP tax reports and ensuring tax configurations are aligned.
- Monitor tax deadlines and ensure timely filing of all returns and payments.
- Prepare and reconcile withholding tax (WHT) schedules with vendor/supplier payments.
- Support in drafting responses to ZATCA queries, assessments, and audit notices.
- Assist in transfer pricing (TP) compliance and documentation when applicable.
- Conduct regular reconciliations between trial balance, financial statements, and tax returns.
- Update and maintain internal tax trackers and compliance schedules.
- Research and summarize tax law changes, circulars, and guidelines, communicating impacts to management.
- Assist in intercompany and cross-border tax matters, including VAT on imports/exports and related-party transactions.
- Contribute to tax risk assessments and propose process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field (Master's or professional certification is a plus).
- 2–5 years of professional experience in taxation, AP , AR , GL functions, preferably Saudi Arabia.
- Exposure to audits, tax assessments, and reconciliations.
- Experience with cross-border tax matters and overseas tax compliance is an advantage.
