Mission
  • Execute engineering tasks related to Control and Telecommunication Systems under the supervision of the Instrumentation Discipline Lead.

Key Responsibilities

A. Development of Technology Know-How and Commercial Support

  • Assist in the evaluation of technical feasibility for new projects or modifications, ensuring compliance with engineering standards.

  • Collaborate with the Discipline Lead to define man-hour budgets and cost estimates for project proposals.

D. Project Execution
  • Review client technical documentation and project specifications.

  • Define engineering design criteria, technical procedures, and system architecture.
  • Prepare and validate material and service requisitions for Control and Safety Systems.
  • Optimize system design for cost-efficiency while maintaining functional integrity and safety.
  • Prepare supply specifications for control, safety, advanced control, dynamic simulation, and operator training systems.
  • Contribute to P&ID mechanization and ensure control strategy alignment.
  • Validate Vendor documentation (functional specs, detail design, BOQs).
  • Coordinate detail engineering work and ensure accurate installation drawing preparation.
  • Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) at Vendor facilities.

E. Construction and Start-Up
  • Participate in Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), loop checks, and functional checks offshore.
  • Provide on-site technical and engineering support during construction and commissioning.
  • Perform site-based engineering adjustments and optimizations as required.

Required Technical Skills
  • Proficiency above basic level in:

Translates high level product development strategies into network and system requirement specifications and works with other engineering disciplines to develop lower level detailed implementation requirements. Establishes and coordinates development of standards, practices, and procedures as related to the network and system development. Designs interfaces and brings network and system elements together so they work as a whole. Assesses performance using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures. Customer liaison and support for business development activities and to understand and shape requirements.
+ Coordinates the planning, design, and installation of equipment, using knowledge of engineering and programming as well as sophisticated instruments and computers
+ Participates in system conceptual design and documentation of the design concepts.
+ Installs all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
+ Designs, creates, and builds network services, equipment and devices.
+ Generates system level requirements verification procedures and customer acceptance test procedures.
+ Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
+ Reviews test plans/procedures and ensures they meet the objectives of the contractual requirements and participates in the testing process to validate requirements.
**Qualifications**
Bachelor's with 5 - 8 years (or commensurate experience)
Required Skills and Experience
+ Clearance Required: Secret
+ Bachelors in Technical field
+ Five+ (5) years of experience as an engineer supporting C4I systems such as GCCS, NAVMACS, HF, UHF, and VHF Radios and Antennas, Tactical Data Links (Link-11, 16, 22), CENTRIXS, Network Communications, SATCOM, ADSI, or VBSS
+ Three+ (3) years o f experience working with Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) equipment such as radars, GPS, AIS, APS, CCTV, VTC, etc.
+ Experience working OCONUS in security cooperation efforts or for foreign customers (i.e., not for US military bases or US Government (USG) facilities).
+ Experience with foreign disclosure reviews or similar experience such as sanitizing technical documentation, and interacting with USG and foreign senior military/government officials,
+ Experience performing requirements analysis, including activities such as site surveys, System Operation Verification Tests (SOVTs)

+ Three+ (3) years of experience with NAVWAR prime mission products.
+ Three+ (3) years of experience supporting Systems Engineering and Technical Reviews (SETR).
+ Completion of DISAM SCM courses such as SCM-C.

+ Masters Degree in Engineering field.

**Posted Pay Range**
The posted pay range, if referenced, reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
