The Quality Control (QC) Manager is responsible for leading and overseeing all QC activities within SVax's Jeddah biomanufacturing facility. This role combines hands-on laboratory leadership with strategic planning, budgeting and team management to ensure analytical integrity, operational efficiency and strict adherence to cGMP standards. The QC Manager will partner closely with Quality Assurance, Manufacturing and Engineering to drive continuous improvement, maintain robust QC systems and deliver timely, compliant testing services in support of product release and facility operations.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Operational Leadership:
- Develop and implement the QC department's multi-year strategy, aligning objectives with corporate goals and facility commissioning milestones.
- Prepare and manage the annual QC budget, monitor expenditures and report on cost variances.
- Define and track department OKRs, leveraging data to drive process enhancements and resource optimization.
Laboratory Oversight & Methodology
- Oversee laboratory setup, qualification (IQ/OQ/PQ) and routine performance of all QC instruments and equipment.
- Approve and supervise transfer, development and validation of analytical methods for raw materials, in-process samples and finished products.

Qualifications

Educational Background:
A Master's or doctorate degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related scientific field is required. Advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., ASQ-CQE, GMP certifications) are a plus.
Industry Experience:
A minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience in Quality Control within the pharmaceutical or biomanufacturing sector, including 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Experience in a cGMP-regulated environment is essential.
Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of GMP, ICH, SFDA, and global regulatory requirements.

Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities:
- Perform a wide verity of inspection and quality control operations in visual, dimensional, and functional nature, making necessary critical observations, tests, or competing appropriate documentation as required.
Education/Qualifications:

- AWS/CSWIP CSWIP 3.1 Certified Welding Inspector as minimum.
