Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Plant Manager to oversee operations at our Renewable Energy facility in Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, optimize efficiency, maintain safety standards, and deliver production targets in line with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and manage plant operations to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Implement and monitor operational procedures, ensuring compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
  • Manage budgets, production schedules, and resource allocation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance plant performance and reduce operational costs.
  • Oversee maintenance programs to ensure minimal downtime and maximum equipment reliability.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management for plant staff.
  • Coordinate with senior management on strategy, reporting, and operational targets.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and company policies

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 8–12 years of relevant experience, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial role within renewable energy, utilities, or heavy industries.
  • Strong knowledge of plant operations, maintenance, and safety standards.
  • Proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making abilities.

Metso Middle East is looking for Plant Manager oversees the complete gold processing Plant from ROM crushing and screening, grinding and classification, gravity concentration, flotation, CIL, carbon regeneration, elution, electrowinning, and final smelting. The role ensures safe and efficient operations, maximizes recovery and throughput, reduces reagent consumption, and drives continuous improvement. Site is remote, however comes with attractive roster.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operations & Metallurgy
  • Lead plant operations from crusher to smelter, ensuring stable performance and recovery optimization.
  • Optimize site performance and collaborate with mining to align feed blend, grind size, and process parameters with ore characteristics.
  • Direct decisions on throughput, recovery, reagent use, and carbon management.
  • Maximize plant uptime and throughput by reducing downtime and maintain production continuity.
  • Oversee metallurgical projects, process control, and debottlenecking initiatives to improve recovery and cost efficiency.
  • Working closely with the mining team, the Plant Manager proactively adjusts plant parameters to respond to ore variability, optimizes flotation and downstream circuits.
  • Guide the metallurgical and analytical labs on analysis routines required, setting KPIs and advising on new technologies, trainings, and SOPs with the Lab Superintendent
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Maintain a strong safety culture with zero-harm as the priority.
  • Ensure safe practices in smelting and cyanide handling.
  • Enforce compliance with cyanide code, environmental permits, and site safety standards.

  • Lead the site team, promote teams to exceed the set targets
  • Lead and develop site operations and teams - metallurgists, engineers, operators, and lab personnel.
  • Provide training, mentoring, and performance feedback.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration with operations, maintenance, and mining.
  • Technical & Laboratory Oversight
  • Develop, approve lab testing programs, sampling protocols, and analytical methods.
  • Ensure accurate metallurgical accounting and reporting.
  • Drive improvements in lab efficiency and data quality for plant decision-making.
  • Financial & Optimization
  • Monitor and optimize reagent and consumable costs (cyanide, lime, flotation reagents, carbon, grinding media).
  • Support in budgeting, cost control, and justification of capital projects.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or related field.
  • 20 years' gold processing experience, with at least 5 years in plant leadership.
  • Expertise in crushing, grinding, flotation, CIL, carbon management, and lab test work is a must.
  • Proven record of recovery optimization and managing variable ore feeds. Familiarity with ISO, OSHA, Cyanide Code, and environmental standards.
