Summary
Assists in providing medical care in the field of General Radiation Oncology, and supervises interns and residents, in accordance with current medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations and the Hospital’s policies and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
Clinical Responsibilities:
Assists the Consultants in providing required patient care and management in the field of General Radiation Oncology , in accordance with standards of medical care laid down by the Healthcare Delivery.
Studies and performs assessment , examination and the compilation of a case history and assists in the diagnosis and management of the patient in accordance with criteria listed in diagnostic manuals such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual.
Registers detailed medical history , conducts a thorough physical examination and creates a plan for patient management and follows-up for discussion with the Consultant. Subsequently , records the consultant’s orders, progress notes and other required documents for outpatients.
Provides on-call coverage frothier specialty on a rotational basis during evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays.
Prepares for and participates in consultant and specialist ward rounds as per policy. Documents findings in medical records.
Follows up on investigation results for outpatients and modifies treatment accordingly.
Attends specialty clinics, outpatient clinics, and shares on on-call schedule as per requirements.
Performs other clinical responsibilities, as assigned.
Academic Responsibilities:
Provides orientation, bedside training and supervision of interns, residents and fellows as assigned.
Keeps abreast of all the latest techniques and developments, especially in area of specialization. Implements them on a selective basis to improve technical standards.
Participates in the educational activities and training programs of the department.
Participates in national and international medical conferences.
Education
Graduation from a medical schoolin good standing, completion of required period of postgraduate training in a specialty and/or subspecialty, with Saudi/American Board or Canadian/UK certification, or equivalent as outlined by the Medical Staff Credentialing Committee.
Experience Required
Two (2) years of training in specialty and subspecialty plus post-training experience required.

The Business Unit Director (BUD) leads the strategic and operational direction of the business for Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for driving business growth, shaping market access strategies, and leading the team to deliver ambitious objectives while upholding AstraZeneca's values, compliance standards, and commitment to patient-centricity.
What you'll do
- Develop and execute the business strategy in alignment with local market needs and AstraZeneca's regional/global priorities, ensuring sustainable growth and market leadership.
- Lead, inspire, and develop the business unit team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on collaboration, innovation, and ethical standards.
- Oversee the implementation of commercial, medical, and market access plans to optimize the portfolio's success in Saudi Arabia.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, regulatory authorities, payers, patient organizations, and key opinion leaders.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration between medical, marketing, sales, government affairs, and market access teams to ensure unified objectives and outcome delivery.
- Analyze market trends, assess business risks and opportunities, and adapt strategies as needed to ensure timely and effective decision-making.
- Ensure business unit compliance with AstraZeneca's internal policies, the Saudi FDA, and other regulatory or ethical requirements.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation for maximum impact and efficiency.
- Serve as a role model of AstraZeneca's values, leadership capabilities, and dedication to making a difference for patients in the Kingdom.
Essential for the role
- Bachelor's degree in life sciences, pharmacy, medicine, or a related field; MBA or postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
- Significant leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a proven track record of success in sales, marketing, or business management (minimum 8-10 years preferred).
- Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop high-performing teams in a complex, fast-paced environment.
- Deep knowledge of the Saudi healthcare and regulatory landscape.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and financial acumen, with experience in business planning,
- P&L management, and decision-making at a senior level.
- Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Fluency in English required; Arabic language skills are highly desirable.

Responsibilities:
- Order tests — including biopsy, blood, and imaging — to confirm a diagnosis
- Provide patients with detailed information regarding cancer, their prognosis, and possible interventions or treatment options
- Develop appropriate treatment plans, with measurable goals, that provide the highest level of care while conforming to patient preference
- Maintain quality of life for patients by managing cancer-related pain and the symptoms and side effects of treatment
- Reassess as disease treatment progresses, and pursue alternative therapies or palliative care when necessary
- Participate in training sessions and correspondence for study protocols and clinical trials, and ensure that patient confidentiality is always maintained
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to accurately assess patient needs and develop appropriate treatment plans
- Participate as a key member of the patient-care team in implementing treatment plans and monitoring patient progress
- Utilize and promote approved standards of care, procedures, methods, techniques, safety precautions, and study protocols
- Participate in the development, review, and evaluation of standard operating procedures and study-specific
Required skills and qualifications:
- Doctor of medicine (MD) or MD/PhD, or equivalent, with training in oncology or hematology/oncology
- Board certification relevant to country of hire in hematology/oncology, with licensure in good standing
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and other medical professionals
- Motivation to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred skills and qualifications:
- Experience in research and/or clinical protocols
- Ability to interpret clinical, genomic, and efficacy data
- Experience 5 years at least in oncology center
