Overview Of Position
FEDITC is seeking Environmental Technicians to oversee the Hazardous Waste (HazWaste) yard, complete inspections, provide training and other tasks identified in the base environmental plans.
This position is located in an undisclosed location in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA)
United States Citizenship, US Passport, and active DoD Secret Security Clearance is required.
Requirements
- Manage and operate the Hazardous Material Yards
- Implement Base Environmental Plans. Ensure timelines and deadlines for all base plan actions, inspections, and reports are met
- Conduct necessary training of base personnel as directed by the client or base environmental plan
- Conduct necessary site visits, inspections, and environmental actions as directed by the client and the base environmental plan
- Manage, handle, transport/coordinate the transport of, and dispose of hazardous material and refrigerants
- Calculate emissions and identify emissions point
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s)
- Other support duties as needed/directed
Experience/Skills:
- Three (3) years’ experience working in Environmental HazWaste Units/processing hazmat/waste.
- Two (2) years’ experience working in a HazWaste yard.
- Familiar with disposal methods.
- Familiar with types of facilities and industrial/nonindustrial locations where toxics are typically found.
- Understand the difference between short-term recovery and long-term remediation/clean-up.
- Understand when to implement the Environmental impact analysis process (EIAP).
- Ability to coordinate with external government agencies.
- Technical writing skills.
- Ability to forecast and schedule training.
- Ability to read and apply regulations.
- Familiarity with conducted inspections & developing and initiating corrective action plans.
- Have, or able to obtain a driver’s license and able to legally drive in the country assigned.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products.
- Ability to live and work in a contingency environment.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to develop solutions to address noncompliance.
- Have and maintain 40-hour OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) certification.
- Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Must be a US Citizen and pass a background check.
- Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
- Comply with necessary theater and country clearance, training, and medical requirements.
- Be able to work as a part of a team, displaying professional behavior that aligns with the military code of conduct and IAW base behavior/conduct guidelines.

What You'll Do
As a Senior Analyst (SA) in a Client-Focused role within BCG's Public Sector (PS) and Climate & Sustainability (C&S) Practice Areas (PAs) in the Middle East, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized knowledge assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.).

- 2+ years consulting experience in relevant sector/topic. Candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred, or engineering experience in waste, water, food and agriculture systems in the Middle East
- In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience required; 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred, particularly in utilities (water), waste management, or organizations offering innovative technological solutions in water, waste, and/or agri-food systems

What You'll Do
As a Senior Analyst (SA) in a Client-Focused role within BCG's Public Sector (PS) and Climate & Sustainability (C&S) Practice Areas (PAs) in the Middle East, you will work in a growing global team, delivering value to clients via individual expertise and/or institutionalized knowledge assets (products, tools, data, workshops, frameworks, surveys, domain-specific data and related expertise, etc.).
- Core focus areas will include supporting the growth of the regional PS x C&S IP, including topics important to developing sustainable water, waste, and agricultural systems in the Middle East, such as green transformations, sustainable waste systems and circular economy, sustainable food and water systems, digital/AI/GenAI solutions and technologies for sustainable development, in close collaboration with sectoral and functional expertise from across the PS and C&S PAs.
- You will contribute to proposals and cases through thought partnership in your area of expertise, delivering original analyses and insights that help drive strong impact with clients. This includes participating in day-to-day meetings with clients, developing presentations (in PowerPoint) and quantitative models (in Excel) as needed, running meetings independently or with the support of BCG leadership, and developing white papers (in Word) detailing specific topics of expertise. You will also be responsible for preparing proposals (in PowerPoint) to support business development efforts and contributing to the development of internal BCG Practice Area initiatives.
- While contributing to client cases, workshops, and proposals, occasional travel to serve clients onsite during staffing assignments is expected to understand client requirements and design/develop solutions.
- Additionally, as a Senior Analyst, you will support the development of intellectual property and assets for the business.

What You'll Bring
- 2+ years consulting experience in relevant sector/topic. Candidates with consulting experience strongly preferred, or engineering experience in waste, water, food and agriculture systems in the Middle East
- In lieu of consulting experience, 3+ years minimum industry experience required; 4-6+ years of industry experience strongly preferred, particularly in utilities (water), waste management, or organizations offering innovative technological solutions in water, waste, and/or agri-food systems
- Comprehensive understanding of water, waste, and/or food value chains is required, including familiarity with regional challenges and opportunities in resource management, infrastructure, policy frameworks, and technology adoption.
- Candidates should be able to assess system inefficiencies, pinpoint key pain points, and identify value-creation levers through a data-driven, innovation-focused approach. A strong grasp of emerging technology trends (including the use of AI/GenAI), public-private partnerships (PPP), financing and investment dynamics, and the broader policy context is essential
- Experience in developing sustainability strategies at the government level is a plus, including materiality assessment, target setting, identification of key ESG initiatives, and development of implementation roadmap
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM required (advanced degree preferred)
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Strong data and analytical capabilities, e.g., versatile in ESG data platforms, Excel, Alteryx and Tableau or similar with proven ability to build consistent models and user-friendly client-ready dashboards
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and manage internal and external stakeholders ("client-ready") while working in a global collaborative team environment

What You'll Be Doing:
Lead and develop interdepartmental Project wide sustainability and environmental goals, objectives, initiatives and strategies, in collaboration with other Technical Divisions and Departments, to achieve the City's Vision as a Smart and Sustainable City.
Introduce, implement and monitor sustainability initiatives, considering factors such as best practices, cost effectiveness, and technical feasibility.

Research and review regulatory, technical, and market issues related to environmental and sustainability practices globally and specifically in the Middle East.
Advise, develop and review environmental and sustainability proposals or policies.
Present best practice information about environmental and sustainability initiatives to inform senior management.
Develop reports/ presentations to communicate the effectiveness of environmental and sustainability initiatives.
Identify needed resources and partners to implement environmental and sustainability programs or projects.
Participate in marketing, such as brochures or websites, to communicate environmental and sustainability issues, procedures, or objectives.
Develop grant applications or project proposals to secure funding for environmental and sustainability initiatives.
Identify, modify or create new environmental and sustainability indicators suitable for JCPDI.
Champion the coordination and delivery of environmental initiatives being undertaken by Departments in Technical Affairs.
Meet with stakeholders and regulators and obtain statutory approvals for environment components of projects.
Deliver Environmental and Sustainability assessment across of range of topics and initiatives providing clear, well written reports.
Support the Department Manager in his role in managing the team, providing technical support and covering when Manager is on leave.
Competently undertake own work to an excellent standard, and review the work of others.
Able to manage clients' needs and present well developed ideas in a confident, professional manner.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
At least 10 years of related work experience, preferably with some time spent on projects in the Middle East region.
Master's degree in Environmental Planning or related discipline preferable.
Bachelor's Degree in an Environmental field from a recognized western university,
