Department: Safety & Operations Department

Reporting To: Safety & Operations Manager

To ensure the safe handling, storage, and transportation of chemical and non-chemical cargo across SDES warehouses and container yards in compliance with local port regulations (MAWANI) and internal company safety policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage chemical cargo operations across all warehouses and container areas.
  • Review Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and ensure proper labeling, segregation, and storage of hazardous materials.
  • Implement and monitor safety measures for handling chemicals and coordinate with MAWANI port safety department.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments for all SDES facilities handling industrial or chemical cargo.
  • Provide technical expertise on chemical reactions, storage compatibility, and emergency response procedures.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions to warehouse staff and operators on chemical safety standards.
  • Ensure all procedures comply with SDES policies and Saudi port regulations (including firefighting systems, PPE, spill response kits).
  • Act as a liaison between SDES and government authorities (MAWANI, Civil Defense, Environmental Authorities) regarding chemical safety issues.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in chemical handling within a port/logistics/warehouse environment.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial safety standards (NFPA, OSHA, ISO 45001).
  • Proven experience working with regulatory compliance in Saudi ports or bonded zones.
  • Excellent communication skills in Arabic and English.
  • Ability to lead teams and train staff.

Chemical Engineer - Process Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chemical Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Process Design Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and optimizing chemical processes for various projects. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize chemical processes for various projects
- Conduct research and perform calculations to determine the most efficient processes
- Create process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment specifications
- Collaborate with other engineers and project managers to ensure project success
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the design or implementation process
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in chemical engineering technology

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in process design within the chemical industry
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of process simulation software such as ASPEN or HYSYS is preferred
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Salary:
The salary for this position is 1500$ per month.

Location:
This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Preference will be given to Pakistani candidates. However, candidates from other nationalities with relevant experience are also encouraged to apply.
