Overview
We are seeking an Oil Reservoir Management Engineer to join Petroleum Engineering/Oil Reservoir Management Department.
Petroleum Engineering/Oil Reservoir Management Department is responsible for developing and managing world-class fields, reservoirs, and reserves, leveraging cutting-edge technology and innovation at our state-of-the-art Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Our organization also conducts pioneering research, introduces new technologies, and provides engineering services as part of our customized reservoir management practices.
As an Oil Reservoir Management Engineer your primary role is to serve as an expert in Oil Reservoir Management, providing guidance and expert advice to the design, implementation, and optimization of best-in-class reservoir management programs for the world’s largest onshore and offshore oil fields. The position is embedded within Petroleum Engineering business and as a senior technical role, you will engage with leaders and experts from across the upstream business.
Key Responsibilities
As a successful candidate you will be required to perform the following:
- Provide expert guidance and oversight on best-in-class reservoir management principles, practices, and cutting-edge technologies across all Saudi Aramco hydrocarbon assets.
- Formulate reservoir development, data acquisition, strategic surveillance, and monitoring of masterplans to optimize asset development and depletion strategies. This involves utilizing established reservoir management standards and guidelines to maximize Net Present Value (NPV) and hydrocarbon recovery.
- Lead, design and practice in integrated field reviews and field development plans.
- Prepare critical reservoir engineering inputs for drilling and workover proposals and programs, recommending innovative completion techniques for complex well configurations, including: horizontal and multilateral wells.
- Lead and participate in reservoir engineering studies focused on optimizing ultimate recovery through reservoir stimulation modeling of various Improved Oil Recovery (IOR) processes.
- Engage in professional development activities, such as: participating in technical societies and groups, sharing expertise, and mentoring engineers to foster growth and excellence within the organization.
Minimum Requirements
As a successful candidate you will hold a:
- Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related Engineering discipline from an accredited university. Advanced degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience including at least 7 years specializing in oil reservoir management.
- Training history of appropriate specialized courses and seminars is expected.
- Knowledge of open-hole and cased-hole logs, geological modeling, simulation, completion and production procedures and technologies.
- Technical knowledge and expertise are required in formation evaluation, geological modeling, simulation, reservoir appraisal and field development planning, completion, production/injection procedures-strategy-technologies, water flooding, reservoir surveillance, SCAL, PVT, geochemical analysis, and fluid's compatibility.
- Expertise in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and data analytics are preferred.
- History of using modern reservoir management practices for oil reservoirs.

This is an opportunity to work on a large luxury mixed-use development in Riyadh / Umluj, KSA. Mace are providing project management consultancy services.
You’ll be responsible for:
Act as the day-to-day operational manager for a design management team of up to 12 people or other design management resource deployed to projects.
Leading the delivery of design management to deliver key strategic outcomes & sub-function KPIs, directly influencing strategic development.
Main point of contact for client design issues, ensuring relationships are managed and maintained.
Main point of contact for design consultant issues, ensuring relationships are managed and maintained and production meets the required schedule for procurement to happen in alignment with the master schedule and budget.
Contributes and inputs into strategy development, develops plans and oversees the delivery and manages the achievement of plan to time and budget.
Assesses and defines project strategic design management delivery.
Implements and approve consultant appointments across all work streams when contractually required.
Oversees and signs off on consultant progress payments.
Builds and leads project design team (internal/external) to ensure correct resource is allocated and project deliverables are clear.
Partners with multiple internal and external stakeholders, working in collaboration to (implement strategy/programmes/initiatives).
Manages, influences & negotiates with key senior stakeholders.
Oversees the design team in their reviews of the consultant design submissions at the various design submission points.
Supports the commercial team with the delivery scope of works / design packs for procurement activities.
Provides the client bodies with regular design progress reports
Assesses the level of resources / input requirements for design consultant claims and supports the client and Mace commercial team in defending the consultant claims.
Actively works to reduce / avoid consultant claim entitlement.
Delivers continuous improvements in processes through application of best practices and lessons learned. Drives transformational change.
Responsible for ensuring the identification, development, and delivery of relevant training.
Ensures management systems are followed during project lifecycle roles and responsibilities are adhered by.
Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
You’ll need to have:
Necessary visa criteria for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and have relevant work experience working on high valued projects/ programmes for a project management consultancy business, which are required for immigration and client approval.
Relevant bachelor’s degree (or equivalent).
Member of a relevant professional body.

Job purpose:
Providing subject matter expertise, innovative approaches, tools, program management and strategic development and consultation across all aspects of Talent Management including but not limited to talent attraction & assessment, succession planning, internal mobility, leadership development, leadership competency management, and talent retention initiatives.
Role responsibilities:
- Drive and execute identified Talent Management Programs such as but not limited to career pathing and planning programs, recruitment strategies, and talent & leadership development programs.
- Provide expert advice & solutions for Talent and leadership aspects to HR Business Partners and executives.
- Lead talent initiatives (HCP cycle- Succession Planning, HiPo, Development Plans and Leadership Development Programs etc) and work along with HR Business Partners team to ensure all programs are on track and monitored accordingly.
- Execute specific talent (individual or team) interventions, e.g. 360 feedback and coach, mentoring program, job rotation programs, new leader assimilation workshop, leadership development program etc.
- Leverage analytic capability from the SuccessFactor system and other analytics tools to drive the talent management processes and help leadership to understand future and current critical needs, as well as develop solutions.
- Create/update communications and other documentation in support of talent management initiatives.
- Manage Talent/Recruitment Strategies in close coordinator with the recruiters.
- Work with Corporate Communications to drive Corporate Branding to attract and sustain the talent pool.
- Develop sustainable processes/programs and support to accelerate the development and improvement of the quality and depth of the talent pipeline.
- Effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders to ensure objectives, timelines, and goals are being met.
- Develop or deliver internal structured development programs or acquire related talent management services from outside vendors as applicable.
- Deliver presentation and education materials to HRBPs and the executive team.
- Develop Talent Management Related Policies and Procedures.
Qualification and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business administration, MIS, or any other relevant majors.
- Minimum of 5 years related working experience in HR - mainly in Talent & leadership management and Development. Preferably had experience in Petrochemical, manufacturing, or oil/gas industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience with creating project plans in coordinating and completing projects on time with high quality deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
- Rich experience in a succession planning, career planning and development, and leadership and HIPOs development.
- Experience in building relationships with internal customers and stakeholders
- Proven Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent skills in SuccessFactor or similar ERP System.
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Deep understanding of Talent Management & Change Management
- Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
