**Job Description**

Exciting opportunity for an experienced lawyer to join dynamic legal team in JLL MENA as its in-house legal counsel and contribute to the company rapid growth in the Middle East.

You will work as in-house lawyer for our business activities in the Middle East working closely with the business and company stakeholders to ensure timely and professional level of support in managing legal activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES include:

  • Provide full-scale day-to-day operational legal support for all legal affairs within JLL MENA/MEA business (contractual, corporate, labor, litigation).
  • Prepare and review contracts and negotiate independently with clients and contractors (service agreements, construction agreements, agency agreements, facility management agreements, lease agreements, supplier agreements, etc.)
  • Provide assistance to Head of Legal MENA/MEA on corporate matters related to the region including incorporation/liquidation of legal entities, amendments to the constitutional documents, resolutions, etc.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Successful candidate should possess the following characteristics:

  • law degree from leading law schools in KSA;
  • Five (5+) years of post-degree work experience, preferably in multicultural environment.
  • Past work experience in an international law firm in real estate practice, construction or real estate consulting will be strong advantage.
  • Proficiency in oral and written Arabic and English is mandatory.
  • High level of integrity, good communication skills and team oriented.
  • The individual should be senior level professional with good commercial thinking and business judgment, strategic and tactical implementation of company business goals, high level of responsibility, initiative and ability to assume independent role in managing with a ‘can-do’ attitude, exceptional level of ethics.

Job Description

Legal Counsels (APJ&MEA) handle a broad spectrum of legal matters within the APJMEA business. They collaborate with stakeholders to ensure successful business processes and provide counsel on contract terms, laws, regulations, and company policies.

Reporting to the Head of Legal APJMEA, they work with business teams across time zones in the region, especially with IFS Middle East in Dubai, although the role is based in Riyadh. IFS expects staff to work in the office at least 3 days a week.

Principal Accountabilities:

  2. Explain and bridge Western legal systems and culture with Saudi legal systems and culture.

  9. Develop and maintain legal systems and records, primarily through Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

  • 3–5 years PQE as an in-house or transactional attorney, with experience in IT/Software contracts, especially licensing.
  • Admitted to practice law in Saudi, UAE, England & Wales, or US jurisdictions.
  • Saudi national or authorized to work in Saudi Arabia.
