Position Summary:

Tesmec Saudi Arabia is seeking skilled and dedicated Heavy Equipment Mechanics to support our field and workshop operations in Riyadh. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of Tesmec trenchers. We are looking for individuals with strong technical knowledge, a proactive work ethic, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair Tesmec trenchers and heavy equipment, including hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and routine service checks.
• Diagnose faults and conduct troubleshooting using manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Repair or replace defective parts and components.
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation.
• Collaborate with the operations and engineering teams to ensure equipment readiness.
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure compliance with Saudi labor and safety regulations.
• Provide support during equipment testing and commissioning on-site when required.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably with trenchers or similar machines.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and heavy machinery diagnostics.
• Technical diploma or certification in mechanical, automotive, or equipment maintenance.
• Previous experience in infrastructure, construction, or utility sectors is preferred.
• Familiarity with Tesmec machines is a strong advantage.
• Basic proficiency in English; Arabic is a plus.

About the Role:

As a Technician, you will be responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a variety of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment, ensuring their safe and efficient operation. You will play a critical role in keeping customer and company owned equipment running smoothly by performing routine maintenance tasks, conducting inspections, and perform repairs as directed with efficiency and accuracy per company standards.

Business Operating Hours/Schedule: Monday through Friday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm

In this role you can expect to:

1. Troubleshooting and Repair
   1. Diagnose and repair basic mechanical problems, that may include but not limited to engines, transmissions, and other essential components of heavy machinery.
   2. Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical and hydraulic systems, ensuring the proper functioning of equipment with the guidance of senior technicians.
   3. Perform basic maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, addressing issues related to fuel systems, exhaust, and emissions with the guidance of senior technicians.
2. Preventive Maintenance
   1. Perform routine preventive maintenance of equipment to ensure it remains in rental ready condition.
      1. Daily inspection, greasing, checking fluid levels, etc.
3. Safety Compliance
   1. Follow company safety and workplace policies and procedures.
   2. Maintain a clean and safe work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
4. Documentation
5. Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs, including parts used and work performed.
6. Completion of work orders, inventory counts, etc.

1. Supplemental
   1. Participates in training programs for the development of skills and knowledge
   2. Work effectively with all levels of the company -- Parts, Service, Sales, Rental
   3. Meet Key Performance Indicator (KPI) requirements, including productivity, quality, and safety standards
   4. Perform any additional tasks assigned by the Supervisor

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED, Technical or Trade School
• Completion of a technical program, apprenticeship, 0-2 years of direct experience, or any combination of training and experience that provides the desired knowledge and abilities.
• Acceptable Driving Record
