Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and motivated professional capable of working effectively in a cross-functional team environment. The successful candidate will assume a full-time employment as a Field Manager, Gilead Oncology in the KSA Medical Affairs department and report to the Oncology Middle East Therapy Area Lead.

Essential Job Functions

  • Ensure the safe and appropriate use of Gilead medicines
  • Improve the standard of clinical care for patients living with breast cancer

Specific Responsibilities

  • Allocates approximately 70-75% of time in the field, engaging in scientific exchange with healthcare professional and thought leaders, while proactively gathering actionable medical insights to guide strategic planning and support evidence-based decision making
  • Responds to clinical inquiries regarding marketed or developmental Gilead products.
  • Presents scientific and clinical data for these products.
  • Identifies and develops national opinion leaders to support Gilead products and trains Gilead approved speakers through personal contacts and on-site visits.
  • Is a company representative to groups of experts, medical professional groups, scientific societies, patient representatives, and represents the company at national and international scientific meetings.
  • Assists with sales force training at national levels.
  • Anticipates obstacles and difficulties that may arise in the field and resolves them in a collaborative manner.
  • Conduct medical education and communication activities, including digital, face-to-face and print.
  • Serve as internal scientific expert in the therapy area, healthcare landscape, and data on Gilead and competitor medicines and as the medical affairs representative in the Saudi cross-functional therapeutic team
  • Execute the Gilead Oncology Medical Affairs tactics for Saudi Arabia, in close collaboration with relevant members of the X-functional team supporting the Oncology franchise
  • Manage projects to completion, anticipate obstacles and difficulties that may arise, resolving them in a collaborative manner.

Knowledge, Experience, Competencies And Skills

  • Demonstrated scientific knowledge management in oncology
  • Advanced scientific or clinical degree preferred
  • Functional experience in field medical affairs preferred
  • Extended experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry preferred
  • Demonstrated relational intelligence by generating value through impactful interactions
  • Excellent written, verbal, relationship-building, influencing, and negotiation skills required
  • Ability to understand complex issues, identify key insights, and communicate salient points to different audiences required
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively prioritize workload required
  • Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and independence required
  • Adherence to all regulatory, legal, and business conduct requirements required
  • Ability to travel in country for field engagements, and to national and regional conferences, including occasional weekend travel is required.

Key Responsibilities
