**Your function
EGI wishes to reinforce its **Finance and Corporate Affairs Department **, helping with government relations management for our offices in Riyadh. To achieve this, we are looking for a Government Relations Officer (GRO) who will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth interactions between our organization and government authorities in Saudi Arabia. Your responsibilities will encompass administrative tasks, compliance, and liaison with local authorities.
**Typical activities involve (but are not limited to):
**Government Liaison**:
- Act as a primary point of contact between our company and relevant government bodies in Saudi Arabia.
- Coordinate with local authorities to facilitate business operations, compliance, and regulatory matters.
- Set up business accounts on government sites such as Absher, Qiwa, Muqeem etc.
**Visa and Work Permit Management**:
- Ensure timely renewals and compliance with immigration regulations.
**Document Preparation and Translation**:
- Prepare and submit correspondence in both English and Arabic to government authorities.
- Provide translation services for official documents related to visas, work permits, licenses, and clearances.
**Compliance and Due Diligence**:
- Stay updated on local laws, rules, and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
- Advise staff and senior management on relevant processes and procedures.
**Record Keeping and Expiry Tracking**:
- Maintain a list of internal and external contacts to facilitate embassy work.
- Track and monitor document expiry dates to ensure timely renewals.
**Requirements:
- Saudi National
- Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration Law or related discipline
- 5 - 10 years of experience in a GRO role in Saudi Arabia with relevant experience liaising with government departments
- Legal and Regulatory Knowledge : In-depth understanding of local laws, labour regulations, and government processes
- Bilingual Proficiency : Native Arabic and fluency in both written and spoken English
- Attention to Detail : Ability to manage time-sensitive documents and ensure compliance
- Interpersonal Skills : Excellent communication and customer service skills

**Responsibilities**

To coordinate with the business and provide support around all areas of government relations including processing and carrying out all transactions relating to visas, permits, licenses, registration etc that are crucial for the business. - Responsible for all applications of visas and cancellations and deal directly with immigration department for visa matters for team members, management and their families.
- Maintain good relations and visits to the owning company, immigration, health department, ministry of information, traffic police as well as all government departments and ministries
- Provides assistance on police and court cases, immigration and labour issues and other related matters
- Keep records of passports and visa expiry dates, inform team members in advance of passport expiry dates and extend/renew visas prior to expiry dates
