Our client is looking for a Financial Controller to join their team in Riyadh, responsible for providing strategic financial oversight and leadership within the Finance Department. This role focuses on overseeing core financial functions including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls. Responsibilities
Operational & Strategic Planning
- Lead planning, budgeting, performance tracking, and system integration efforts while driving continuous improvements and aligning services with stakeholder expectations.
Account Management
- Oversee end-to-end accounting operations, including financial transactions, reporting standards compliance, audits, account closures, and risk response planning.
Financial Statements & Analysis
- Manage preparation and review of financial statements, conduct ratio and trend analysis, lead technical research, and coordinate with auditors to ensure financial integrity.
- Develop, update, and enforce accounting policies and procedures in line with international standards, while strengthening internal controls and governance
Qualifications
- 10 +years of experience in financial operations or accounting within the banking or financial services sector
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and familiarity with core financial systems (e.g., ERP, T24)
- Experience in investment, or corporate lending sectors is a strong advantage
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration (Master’s preferred)
- Professional qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA (completed or in progress); CFA Level II/III is a plus
- Strong competencies in regulatory compliance, internal controls, financial reporting, and operational efficiency
- Familiarity with Saudi tax and VAT regulations is highly desirable
