Develops, participate and supports an active Continuing Medical Education program for the Section, Department or Clinical assigned by the chairman which may include rounds, conferences, lectures, and journal clubs and other educational activities.

Al-Mowasat Medical Services Company was established in the year 1975 AD under Commercial Registration No. , issued in the city of Dammam, as an individual institution owned by Mr. Muhammad Sultan Al-Subaie, where Al-Mowasat began operating its first medical project (Al-Mowasat Clinic) in Dammam as the first private clinic in the city of Dammam.

**Dental Assistant Responsibilities**:
- Provide chair-side assistance to dentists and/or dental hygienists in the performance of dental procedures, to include operative, preventive, periodontal, endodontic, prosthetic, and/or oral surgical procedures.
- Prepare, sterilize, organize, and set up dental equipment. Ensure that all dental instruments are cleaned, dated, and processed according to established clinic guidelines and standards.
- Monitor and maintain dental equipment, system, radiographic developing equipment, sterilizer, and light curing units, in accordance with manufacturers’ guidelines.
- Develop and process dental radiograph in accordance with guidelines, assists in the monitoring and maintenance of radiation safety procedures and protocols.
- Follow and maintain all relevant UAE regulations, guidelines, policies, and standards for the provision of dental clinical services.
- Order and maintain inventories of dental clinic supplies.
- Maintains dental laboratory result and create and maintains dental records in accordance with established procedures.

More complex tasks include the preparation and mixing of materials used during patient treatment such as the preparation of the anesthetic syringe with proper needle and anesthetic carpule; preparation of rubber dam equipment, preparation and/or mixing of impression materials (alignate, hydrocolloid, and rubber base), periodontal dressings, cements zinc oxides, zinc phosphate, calcium hydroxide), restorative materials (amalgam and compost resins) and others. The incumbent progresses in new skills through in-service training and experience in chairside assistance under the supervision of the Dentist, on-Job Trainer and Expanded functions Dental Assistant. **Principal Contacts**:
Ongoing Contacts are made with all levels within the Dental Services such as those with dentists, dental therapists and business office personnel, dental laboratory technicians and with patients.
**Principal Duties**:
- Sharpens, cleans, sterilizes and returns instruments to the standard storage position, sets up or checks pre-prepared operative trays.
