Job Purpose
To support the development and implementation of safety processes and procedures in order to ensure a safe, incident–free environment and create a safety culture in TASNEE.
Role responsibilities:
- Review the process for process related hazards and propose interventions to ensure safe operational activity
- Incorporate safety precautions, mechanicsm and standards to ensure safe operating procedures and systems are in place and applicable to operational, engineering and maintenance related activities.
- Update own knowledge on international and industry safety best practices on an on-going basis in order to make pertinent recommendations.
- Make a detailed analysis of all operational, maintenance and new project activities with potentially significant risk, prior to commencement of the job and prepares an assessment of the risk and suggests measures to control the risk. Maintain risk profiling of the organization with monitoring mechanisms during different stages of plant operations…
- Study existing and new engineering projects and processes from a design and construction point of view, suggest and incorporate safety standards and specifications to ensure a safe working environment during the construction and operating phases.
- Provide guidelines on safety aspects prior to and during alteration and modification to existing engineering systems in order to prevent any untoward incident.
- Identify any new safety hazards likely to occur because of alteration or modification and recommend measures to control them.
- Inspect sites regularly and conduct surveys on accident-prone areas for compliance with safe working procedures and standards.
- Conduct investigation of minor incidents independently or major incidents as part of an investigation team.
- Brief team members on safety procedures and systems related to the accident, carries out the root cause analysis, and drafts the investigation report for review by management.
- Assist with the development of the awareness and training programs designed to instruct employees on Process safety issues.
- Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.
- Ensure compliance to all relevant safety, quality and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of activity to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
- Ensure compliance with EHSM, IMRS and Responsible care.
- Ensure compliance towards safety regulation within TPC.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelors in Chemical or Process Safety Engineering
- 4 - 6 years experience with a minimum 2 years as an HSE Specialist within a reputed Oil & Gas organization and proven successful records of efficiency, performance and achievements.

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Process Engineer is responsible for overall monitoring and enhancing various plant operations.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide plant operations with technical inputs and support, including preparing different Heat & Material balance scenarios.
- Evaluate plant processes and proposed design changes, considering environmental and economic factors.
- Work closely with process chemists and control engineers to ensure the plant is set up for maximum output and efficient operation.
- Set up scale-up and scale-down processes, including appropriate modifications to equipment design and configuration.
- Evaluate the design, installation, and commissioning of new projects, including monitoring developments and troubleshooting.
- Perform process simulations and assess options for plant expansion or reconfiguration by developing and testing simulation models.
- Conduct risk assessments, manage cost and time constraints, and develop process documentation, operating instructions, and best practices to improve production rates and quality.
- Optimize production by analyzing processes, troubleshooting manufacturing problems, evaluating equipment and processes for safety and environmental compliance, and proposing improvements and new technologies.
- Possess an engineering degree from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
- Familiarity with petrochemical processes, especially Acrylates, Syn Gas, and Butanol processes.

Overview:
Material Standardization Supervisor specializing in Chemicals has for primary objective to ensure consistency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness in the selection, procurement, and utilization of chemical materials across projects within the organization.
The role aims at contributing to the organization while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible work environment, and optimizing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of chemical material management processes.
Key Duties, Responsibility & Accountabilities
1. Developing and executing standardized material selection strategies tailored to chemical applications to optimize procurement processes, minimize project costs, and maintain quality and safety standards
2. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and project management, to understand project requirements, objectives, and timelines, and align material standardization efforts accordingly.
3. Conducting comprehensive technical evaluations and assessments of chemical materials, considering factors such as composition, purity, compatibility, and regulatory compliance, to ensure suitability for specific applications.
4. Establishing and nurturing relationships with chemical suppliers and vendors to ensure a reliable supply chain, negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and delivery schedules, and address any supply-related issues promptly and effectively.
5. Developing and maintaining documentation, including material specifications, standards, safety data sheets, and regulatory certifications, to facilitate efficient procurement processes, support project planning and execution, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
6. Ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and environmental regulations governing the handling, storage, and use of chemical materials, and implementing appropriate risk management measures to mitigate potential hazards and ensure workplace safety.
7. Identifying opportunities for cost savings, process optimization, and risk mitigation through material standardization initiatives, bulk purchasing, and strategic supplier partnerships, while maintaining stringent quality control standards and minimizing potential risks to project execution.
8. Monitoring industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in chemical materials and processes to continuously improve material standardization processes, enhance material performance and reliability, and support the organization's goals of operational excellence and sustainability.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Chemistry or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in standardization, quality management preferred
Substantial Experience in the chemical industry, particularly in roles related to material standardization, quality control or regulatory compliance. Experience in a supervisory or leadership position is preferred
In depth understanding of chemical standards, regulations and industry best practices
Minimum Experience 10 years
