Cost Accounting & Inventory Management

  • Set up standard costs for items in the ERP/system.
  • Prepare and analyze cost variances including labor, material, inventory, and purchase price variances.
  • Collaborate with the Supply Chain team on cost-related matters and provide financial insights.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) regulations and internal control procedures.
  • Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts across company locations.

Project Accounting Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries including Contra Finished Goods, Prepayments, and MIT Cost Adjustments.
  • Conduct month-end reconciliations related to project accounts.
  • Develop project reconciliation and project closeout files.
  • Generate and process customer project invoices accurately and timely.


Additional Cost Accounting Tasks

  • Perform cost updates and cost roll procedures.
  • Generate various operational reports including:
    • Utilization reports.
    • WIP aging, item receiving, and cycle count reports.
  • Prepare and process scrap transactions and invoices.
  • Record and monitor monthly scrap accruals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

•   Interest in oil and gas, hydrocarbon refinery, offshore, mining or infrastructure industries.
•   Originate new and revise existing engineering drawings.
•   Revise and check engineering drawings against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
•   Conduct and receive trainings related to job as required.
•   Awareness and following of all drafting aspects such as correct use of symbols, layers and formats.
•   Completion of work within allocated man-hours effectively and plan work to avoid slippage.
•   Interfaces, coordinates and communicate effectively with the Project Lead and other team members.
•   Go for site visits and verify site conditions and markup drawings/perform as-built activities.
•   Manage deliverables submission with required quality checks and proper management of record

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma, Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Graduate / post-graduate level of understanding of Engineering Practices, Design Methods and Calculations.
  • 0 - 1 year of experience.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to their discipline of engineering.
  • Demonstrates the application of theory in a practical context to develop engineered solutions.
  • Good communication, reporting and presentation skills including the ability to converse in the English language.
  • Strong organizational skills and provides attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated and demonstrates personal initiative.
  • Possesses integrity, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and is dependable.
  • Team player that works well and collaborates with supervisors, subordinates, peers and clients.
  • High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of personal daily activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performs full clerical, administrative and general office duties involving transcription, typing, record and file maintenance, data entry and telephone reception.
  • Requires an understanding of the content of the manager's job and method of operation as well as knowledge of departmental operations and procedures.
  • Organizes and maintains files of manager's correspondence, records etc. and follows up pending matters
  • Acts as receptionist for the manager, screening correspondence and telephone calls
  • Schedules appointments and coordinates arrangements for meetings
  • Prints, organises and prepares information for meetings
  • Arranging travel/accommodation/car hire Prepares routine letters and memoranda for manager's review
  • Organizes and expedites flow of work through office and initiates follow up action
  • Support in collecting information and data for reporting
  • Populates templates and creates documents
  • General office housekeeping activities as required

Excellent interpersonal skills
