Location:Jeddah, Saudi ArabiaExperience: 5 - 6 years of proven experience in the logistics industry in similar roleEducation: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related field.Languages: Proficiency in both English and ArabicJob Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Manager to oversee the transportation operations of our client, a logistics company in Jeddah. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of transport business operations, coupled with excellent people management skills and a strong process-driven approach. As Transport Manager, you will be responsible for managing the transport business profit and loss, implementing strategic plans for growth and operational excellence, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:Define and manage the budget, maximizing profit margins while ensuring operational excellence.Develop and implement a strategic plan for multi-year growth, performance improvement, and regulatory compliance.Lead and manage transportation operations to meet business goals and objectives.Drive initiatives to enhance transportation services in terms of quality, reliability, and customer service.Implement and optimize standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all levels of the organization.Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and data analytics to drive automation and improve operational decision-making.Continuously improve transport network efficiency, reducing transit time and costs.Develop and execute a truck asset plan to maximize profitability and meet future business needs.Identify new revenue streams and pursue opportunities in existing and new market segments.Ensure high customer satisfaction by meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and operational effectiveness.Maintain safety standards and regulatory compliance across all company processes.Create and manage performance scorecards to track goals and take corrective action when necessary.Foster a positive and productive workplace culture through effective communication and team collaboration.Collaborate with senior executives to develop and achieve company goals.Manage and develop the performance of the transportation team through coaching, feedback, and career development initiatives.Behavioral Requirements:Advanced leadership and interpersonal skillsResults-oriented with a focus on meeting customer expectationsAbility to drive and adapt to change effectively.Strong negotiation and decision-making abilitiesExcellent presentation and communication skillsCapacity to cope with pressures and setbacksCore Requirements:Strategic and critical thinking abilitiesStrong analytical and quantitative skillsProficiency in complex project managementTech-savvy with logistics tools such as TMSHands-on knowledge of transport operationsEffective problem-solving skillsExperience in team building and management.This role offers a unique opportunity to lead and innovate in the dynamic field of transportation logistics while contributing to the growth and success of the client company in Jeddah.
