Full Job Description

The transport coordinator works in the material movement and warehousing industry. He arranges the delivery of products to customers or companies such as production facilities. Coordinator works in logistics arranging the transport of goods for multiple clients.

The logistics and transportation coordinator also arranges for the storage of deliverable goods. The coordinator works in a fast-paced environment, which includes daily scheduling and handling multiple routes, drivers, and deliveries.

Requirements

Operational Role:

·         Transportation coordinator oversees the time delivery of goods.

·         He maintains delivery schedules and tracks deliveries to ensure deliveries are met.

·         He updates and provides tracking information to customers as well as to internal managers.

·         He monitors and reports driver issues such as accidents, safety concerns, or licensing issues.

·         He is also responsible for looking after the availability of vehicles and concerned with the repairing process of vehicles.

·        He Coordinates operations with the warehouse and dispatch officer, Wharf, and store officer.

Reporting Role:

·         He prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports about deliveries, fleet, issues, and scheduling.
