Procurements Executive (Chemicals)

Full Job Description

Identify international and regional suppliers of chemical raw materials

Maintain strong relationships with key suppliers

Maintain strong relationships with internal staff (production, sales, finances)

Monitor inventories of raw materials

Issue purchase enquiries for chemical raw materials

Negotiate prices, shipment plans, payment terms, with suppliers

Manage inward logistics of raw materials

Co-ordinate import clearance of raw materials

Manage technical and safety data information, for raw materials, on the company's intranet

Act as a chemical raw material information resource for the sales and marketing teams

Develop and maintain a professional relationship with the Procurements team of our foreign shareholder INEOS Composites Europe

Skills

Understanding the supply dynamics of key chemical raw materials

The ability to broadly "visualise" the chemistry our the petrochemical sector, and it's impact on raw materials

Negotiation of purchase prices and terms

Professional written and spoken English

Collection and distribution of information

Strong ability to follow-up shipments and deliveries from suppliers, to enforce performance

Experience as a user of ERP systems, proficient user of Excel, Word, and Outlook

Professional communication with Procurements team of our foreign shareholder INEOS Composites Europe
