  • We're looking for an experienced Civil Engineer, specializing in Civil & Structural Engineering, to join our Project Management team (PMT)
  • Our PMT is responsible for delivering top-quality capital projects, ensuring they are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in full compliance with integrity and regulations.
  • The role includes overseeing the design, procurement, and construction of projects of various sizes and complexities, from small to multi-billion-dollar mega projects.
  • Projects are managed from multiple locations across Saudi Arabia, both on-site and in engineering contractor offices.
  • The main responsibility of the Civil Engineer is to ensure that engineering design, procurement, and construction align with project objectives and contractual requirements, such as schedule, cost, health, safety, and environmental standards, as well as company procedures.
  • Additionally, the role involves reviewing and assessing both new and existing facilities, including greenfield and brownfield sites.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Execute capital projects within defined scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Handle complex technical and administrative tasks related to civil and structural package design and coordination.
  • Offer technical input and review for facility design, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and startup.
  • Address technical issues throughout all project phases related to civil and structural packages.
  • Manage the entire project development process, from engineering studies to startup, ensuring compliance with standards.
  • Oversee design contractor activities during Pre-FEED and FEED stages, including defining work scope and preparing cost estimates.
  • Stay updated on international project and engineering procedures, bidding processes, procurement, and best practices.
  • Understand contract documents, project plans, change management, and construction requirements to ensure project completion on time.
  • Resolve contractors' activities during construction and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Contribute to civil and structural package deliverables, such as plot plans, foundation details, load assessments, and geotechnical testing.
  • Provide design input for various facilities, including pipe racks, substations, control buildings, and process plants.
  • Assist in defining scope and estimating costs for change orders and participate in change management.
  • Review and report on contract status, project costs, and schedule; attend project meetings and reviews.
  • Monitor project progress, challenge contractor performance, and manage invoices and submittals.
  • Implement company initiatives during project execution and report on project progress.
  • Review and assess civil and structural modifications to facilities.
  • Offer routine support for civil and structural design and construction and develop/testing procedures for packages.

Minimum Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an approved program; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • Possess at least 15 years of experience in the Oil, Gas, and refining industries, with expertise in Civil & Structural Engineering.
  • Must have five years of field experience, including construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and operation.
  • Proficient in English, both verbally and in written communication.
  • Familiar with Engineering Design & Construction phases and well-versed in international codes, standards, and specifications.
  • PMP Certification is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Willing to work in multicultural teams and relocate to various locations, including remote areas, as required.
